ok... so you have to wait until your tama is a grown up... does it give you a baby tama??

 
it has to be an adult when you use it. once you select it connect with another tama of the opposite gender and they will fall in love instantly. i have learned that they will not have a baby though unless BOTH tamas have been adults for at least 24 hrs. i also dont think it will work on 2 different versions though. i tried to use it and connect my v3 with my v2 and it wouldnt work. anyway hope this helped

No... it makes your Tama fall in love with the next Tamagotchi (of the opposite gender of course!) it connects with. And yes it is useless if you don't have another Tama or don't have a friend whom has a Tama. hebb is right.
