"Don't bump up old topics!" But what I'm wondering

is why? I've never really bumped up a topic (think i did once when I was newbe)

But really why is it so bad? I know that admin made a rule

against it. But whats worng with doing it? Does it cause flooding?

Maybe make the system go slower? No? Then whats the big

deal. I say that rule should be banned. Does anyone agree with

me?

I believe that they have no point, They do cause like Fights, Since back when i was a n00b I was annoying, and well no one wants to bring up the past

well that old topic someone bumped might take the place of newer topic.

how would they cause fights...

Wait I see why. But still anyway

topics that a newbe brings back they dont

normaly start fights because...EVERYONE

knows its an old topic

A lot of old topics aren't relevant any more. People also bump up fights, and just start the fight all over again.

eg.

topic : tamagotchi connection v1 is coming out!

then some1 bumps that topic saying: that is already out.

but that is back in 2004 so that is too old

That's right bbbb ray.

There's also other scenarious as why it's banned.

Example . Someone makes a new topic- they think it is brilliant- they get a few replies- and the topic loses interest as people have already read it- BUT- the person who wrote the topic wants to keep the topic popular- so they keep posting in their own topic just to keep in on the first page-even though no-one is interested any more- that is also bumping because they are the only person posting in it.
