Is there a way to get rid of items me and my friend have a full item list and cant by anythin else

Yes there is. You can 'Trash' them.
To do this, go to your 'Friend's Booklet' and click on the section called: 'Presents' scroll throught the item you want to delete and press the 'B' button. When it asks you to 'WRAP?' press the 'A' button, you should see the word: 'TRASH?' and a trash can next to it. Say: 'SURE' or 'YES'. This should delete the item for you!
