I really wish american connection 2 would get here soon. It might be a glitch or battery corrosion. Check the battery to see if it's gooey or crusty (ewww). If the battery is fine, you may have a defective tama, because as far as I know, if it has died you press a and c buttons before another egg appears, and if you accidentially reset it, the tamagotchi would prompt 'download' or 'reset'.
