On my tamagotchi's screen, theres a black rectangle connected to a tiny white one (like a battery looks like). There's a flashing X over it.

Ok, so there's my problem. Now I have these questions.

Is the battery dead?

If so, how do I change it?

What kind of bettery do I need?

How do I get my tama back after?

If the battery isn't dead, what IS wrong?

Help me quickly before I go phsyco.

This is telling you that your battery is low. You can reset and download your tamagotchi to fix the problem, but you can only do that for so long.

The battery needed for tamagotchis is CR-2032 button cell batteries. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws on the back. Pop the battery out with a pencil or a toothpick. Put in the new batter the right way.

You should hear the long BEEEEEEP you heard when you first started your tamagotchi. Press the middle button and select DOWNLOAD. You should have your previous tamagotchi back from the last major even before you changed the batteries.

Check the time because sometimes when you download your tamagotchi the time will be set wrong. Change it if needed.
