The matchmaker comes 3 days (3 years) after the Adult. The matchmaker will come anytime. But the most common times are 2:59 PM, and 6:59 PM. So to make this brief ages 6 and up. But eventually if you keep on refusing the matchmaker your tamagotchi will turn into a oldie. If you breed with a oldie you will get the secret character Oyajitchi! :) They say he/she skips teen and child stage. But on the v4 he/she has a teenager form.
