GAAH!

I took out my tamagotchi's battery (the one on the right) and put it back in. But instead of the egg, my tamagotchi appeared on the screen. After half a second, two horizontal lines appeared on the top and bottom of the screen. Then the lines disappeared and my tamagotchi stood frozen on the screen for a few seconds. Then, it disappeared, and there were just a few spots on the screen. then the spots and all the icons (meter, food, toilet, etc.) disappeared completely. So I took the battery back out, and whenever I put it back in the tamagotchi started to make a high pitch squealing noise that didn't stop until I took the battery out. I already fixed it by downloading, but I just want to ask...

I think that battery is dead. Buy a new one. That sound you heard was normal.
