Need help Transferring ID L downloads using Palm Treo 700

Hey everyone i am super new to this, like today new haha. I have read tamazone and tamatalk forums for years lookin in whenever i am in need of tips and tricks. Well I finally am desperate and need some help. Im shy so I dont normally start topics on forums lol.

Anyways, I have a tamagotchi ID L - english version. I have downloaded all the items and put them on an SD card and put THAT into my Palm Treo 700 which i bought and just recieved through ebay for just 16 bucks (yay not too expensive right)

I cannot get the palm treo to recognize the existence of my Tamagotchi at all when I try to beam it. Not once. I have tried using an IRDA usb as well and that didn't work at all either. After more research it looks like I am not the only one. I read that using a IR phone was much easier. Well I guess not? I have followed the exact instructions as the youtube videos and the forums. Does anyone know if there is a trick or detailed setting I need to fix or double check? Its driving me nuts. And I am so disappointed that I might not be able to get all these awesome downloads. I would like to collect a Tamagotchi P as well and get the English patch. But if I cant get this to work I probably wont turn the P into English either. Ugh so frustrating. **Looks at all amazing downloads for ID L with sadness**

T0 be clear I go to my un activated phone and select the image/download I want to beam to my Tamagotchi, I go to downloads on the Tamagotchi and try to connect the two. I wait for the phone to search for the Tamagotchi signal but nothing happens. So if anybody has any idea what I am doing wrong please help ;'''(

I don't know a whole bunch about transferring it with the phone, but after reading your steps, it sounds like you didn't select "Send via infrared" on the phone.

Anyways, you could say I'm a newbie to it too, but I'm now an expert on the irda usb.

If you've tried all the steps, the only other tricks that come to mind are these: have you tried restarting your phone? Also, I find that having a fully-charged phone sometimes helps. Very touchy but I've found that they work for my occasionally temperamental phone. I also have a Palm Treo.

When I select an image(on the phone) I then choose to beam it, it is at this point that it(the phone) is "searching" for another ir device. It never finds the TMGC ;/

I will try this! I have looked through the phone and I cant find any IR settings to mess with either. I appreciate your guy's help
