Fairy ON

Benrey evolved into an adult on the 7th and...

dm3Ktn9.jpg

Hmmm... I'm starting to notice a pattern here. This was one too many frosted Maskutchis for me, so I decided to quit running the ON after Benrey left.

qAE4c2H.jpg

This opened up a spot for the newest addition:

Magical Meets

"New" may have been an overstatement, seeing as the Meets is the same as the ON, but I'm honestly not looking for much change here. :p  I started the Meets a couple of hours after I stopped running the ON and I was greeted by twin boys, Bubby and Coomer (clearly on a HLVR:AI kick over here). They became adults yesterday and I plan on marrying one of them off after making this post. Technically, Bubby has already been married via the app a few times, but I've yet to find a permanent match.

L.I.F.E. App

Sam ended up dying on the 8th, so I've officially moved on to the second generation with a Tama named, Apple. Apple has already faired better than Sam because he evolved into a Tamatchi. I wonder if the app is as strict with care as the originals because I would love to raise a Mametchi.

Food for thought.

And that's all! Pixel and Gus are still just chillin. Looking at this post and my last post, I realize that it may be confusing and difficult to understand which Tamagotchis are currently running. It's the P's (Gus), Pac-Man (Pixel), Meets (Bubby and Coomer), and L.I.F.E. App (Apple). I'm going to stop saying when I plan to update because that just doesn't pan out these days, so I'll see you guys next time!

I figured today would be a good day for an update because I'm going to be busy this weekend (Tues/Wed). There's been an interesting development involving my seasonal employment that will leave me with more time to run my Tamas. No, I haven't been fired. My position changed from seasonal to permanent! From my understanding, this position doesn't typically change status like that, so they made that position specifically for me. I'm going to have more time in my schedule because there's less work for me in the Fall/Winter, so my hours are dropping for now (I'm currently living at home, so I can still afford rent despite the loss of hours). I'm hoping to, starting November, start running more "involved" Tamas (i.e. anything other than the Meets/ON) Overall, this was best case scenario for me. ^_^

Ok, ok, that's enough personal news. Let's get on to the stars of the show:

Pac-Man Tamagotchi

Pac-Man and Pixel hightailed it out of here yesterday. I decided to stop running it in preparation for my future schedule availability.

That faceplate be lookin DUSTY tho...

Magical Meets

Despite Bubby being the more popular of the twins with three proposals under his belt, it was Coomer that ended up kicking off the next generation. He got a proposal from a cute penguin, so of course I said yes.

Eby49eT.jpg

They had a baby boy named Tommy (last of the HLVR:AI names, I promise). I actually ended up keeping Tommy with me for a few days because I couldn't find the time to marry him off and raise his child. In that time he ended up having a good dream, which I'm pretty sure is the first I've gotten that instead of a nightmare. A momentous occasion for sure. :p  I finally had the time to get him married yesterday. (Also, I thought the ducky hat was cute and appropriate for his namesake).

Together they had, Sasha! Nothing much going on with her, seeing as she was born yesterday... I've noticed that the Meets is starting to have the same stubborn genetic problems as the ON (at least with the body type), but I'm hopeful that Sasha will break that. She's already got her mom's hair, so that's maybe a good sign?

L.I.F.E. App

Apple evolved into a Maskutchi, but ended up dying a couple days after. I spent the day at work and I ended up taking a long nap when I got home, so they didn't stand a chance. I haven't reset the app since, but I plan on doing that soon.

P's

I don't really have any Gus news, but I wanted to show his "girlfriend". This is really just the first girl that reached the proper requirements for a park marriage proposal, but I like to think they're dating. :p

And that's all for now! I figured it would be best to post before this weekend because my birthday is on Tuesday! Don't worry, I'm not going out during a pandemic. I'm just going to spend the day watching Studio Ghibli movies and playing video games with my family. I'll be turning twenty, which is kinda crazy to think about. I made this account when I was twelve, so I've been a TT member for almost eight years. I'll be twenty next time I post, so I'll see you guys then!

The screen being set in so deep on the Nanos really doesn't help this, does it?

Have a fantastic, fantastic day! :D You've clearly got excellent taste in movies - and don't forget to watch The Castle of Cagliostro, too, if you've got it, since, even though it's technically not a Ghibli film, it was Hayao Miyazaki's movie debut. ;) (Either dub is good. I prefer the 1992 Streamline Pictures dub, though I'm told that the 2000 Manga Entertainment one is great too.)

Thank you! ^_^ I'll be sure to give The Castle of Cagliostro a watch as well. I only recently began watching the Ghibli films, so I'm trying to catch up. I've seen My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away so far. We recently started an HBO Max subscription, so now I've got more options available.

Sasha and her house just so happened to be dirty during the birthday animation that morning ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Birthday update: Princess Mononoke and Castle in the Sky ended up being my choices for the day! Both movies were really good, but my favorite was Princess Mononoke. It definitely gave me Breath of the Wild vibes and it turns out that's a fairly common comparison, according to my brother at least. There was also something about the world being sick and trying to find balance that I found particularly pertinent these days. The rest of the day was mainly playing Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate New Funky Mode and just hanging out with my family. It was kinda nice having a slower-paced birthday, I just wish it was under different circumstances. :p  Anyway, we should get into the news about these little gremlins:

Magical Meets

Well, it turns out Sasha wasn't the one to break the ballerina body curse (spoiled by the birthday update). Like her predecessors, she just had different hair and different accessories. I decided to switch things up and marry a Tama directly from the device. I've been wanting Gozarutchi genes for awhile and I was hopeful that a more "pure" concentration of genes would prevail in breaking the curse. And with that, Lucretia was born! (I got this poster for my birthday, so TAZ was on my mind ;) ).

Here's a picture of, Sasha, all clean.

With Lucretia also came the fall of the ballerina curse! Finally, we can have a little more variety. She reminded me of the pseudo-Kunoitchi twins I found on the app (featured in an old post), so I decided to marry her to KuroMametchi today. Another marriage on the device itself. I also did a color change to try to strengthen the potential Kunoitchi energy.

That brings us to about an hour ago when I was left with, Ashitaka. I already may have jinxed myself by even daring to type out my hope for his future appearance because he's already adopted his mother's hair instead. Knowing my luck, he'll inherit his mother's head and his father's body instead of the other way around. Of course, I'll love him regardless of the results.

rmKQbE6.jpg

L.I.F.E. App

Okay, so I haven't been the best with the app. I hatched another Tama that only made it to the Marutchi stage before kicking the bucket. I may revisit the app soon enough, but I've pretty much dropped it for now. We'll just have to see how things go.

And that's it! My work schedule is still super heavy for this next week, but my hours fall back after that. It's just been Gus and the M!x/Meets/ON for the past couple months, so I'm excited for some variety! I wonder how many I'll run and which ones they'll be...

I'm a prophet. For real though, I didn't think it would be this on the nose. Oh well... He ended up marrying and NPC on the app and they had a baby boy named Neil.

This is when I began to notice that the tea hair was the new stubborn genetic. I married him to another app NPC with the unicorn hair in hopes that it would dispel this hair. They had twins named Lark and Sparrow.

They were the ones that finally got rid of the tea hair! It just so happened that they became adults today, just in time for the new character for this month. I married her to Sparrow and finally deactivated the Meets.

And that's all! I'm hoping to start up all new Tamas tonight or tomorrow. I didn't want to throw a lot information into this post all at once, so that's why I made this one super quick and to the point. I'm still not sure what I want to start yet, but I suppose I'll figure it out soon enough. :p

Back from hiatus again! I haven't really been running any Tamas (besides Gus) for the past couple of months, but the holidays have reignited my interest. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm back for good, but I really wanted to do an update, so here I am. Part of this update is from two months ago and part of it is from the last week, so let's start at the beginning.

Angelgotchi

The Angelgotchi was one of the Tamas I decided to start running after I made my last post. I was greeted by a solemn grave shortly before meeting, Barry! According to my personal logs, Tarakotchi Angel was one of the last characters I hadn't raised yet (the other being Cactus Angel), so I had an obvious goal in mind. I ended up being successful in raising Tarakotchi, but I was unable to obtain Cactus Angel before, Barry, made his departure.

(I included a picture of him eating because Tarakotchi has some impressive chompers!)

Akai

The next Tama I had started running was the Akai. Unfortunately, I don't remember much about raising this one. I forgot to take pictures of her toddler/teen phases and I didn't even draw them in my personal logs, so this girl (her name is also missing  ) was nearly lost to time! Please enjoy the pictures that I did take of her.

Music Star

This is the final Tama that I had started before going on hiatus. I was fully expecting to be greeted by a baby, but it turns out that I had left an Androtchi named, Hiccup. He got married very quickly, but despite that, I didn't end up raising his son like I intended to. I just lost interest right after Hiccup left... At least we know that next time I start up the Music Star I will definitely be greeted by a baby. :p

AyVRFSs.jpg

20th Anniversary Digimon

I was fully intending on taking a break from my vpets (except Gus), but two weeks later I found a 20th Anniversary Digimon at GameStop! I've always wanted to try Digimon, but I could never find a reasonably priced one until now. I clearly fell out of the loop on this one because I had no clue that they had been released here. :p

Upon startup I was greeted by a Botamon that I named, Moe. I spent a lot of time training him up and he quickly evolved into a Koromon. He then evolved into a Agumon and I believe it was at this point that we unlocked tournament battles. Moe had a pretty high singles battle success rate (somewhere in the upper 90%).

I was given the opportunity to raise another Digimon alongside, Moe, so I hatched a Zurumon named, Joe. He evolved into a Pagumon and shortly after that, Moe, evolved into a Greymon. Joe evolved into a Gazimon. He and Moe destroyed the doubles tournament battle scene! Joe, then evolved into a Dark Tyranomon and continued to fight alongside, Moe.

Unfortunately, they passed away a few days later... On a related note, I've noticed that Digimon poop a LOT more than Tamagotchis. Like you can't leave them alone for a half hour without multiple pieces popping up. I can't help but feel like this was my boy's undoing... I didn't raise any others after them because I decided that it was really time for a break from vpets (except Gus).

(Sorry for the lack of pictures)

P's

Gus has been the only constant over my break. He's mostly been sleeping the days away when I'm at work and eating a few too many snacks on my days off. His batteries ended up dying late on Christmas Eve and I hadn't replaced them until today where I was greeted by the horrifying sight of Gus trying to run away! Thankfully he's okay, but it was quite the scare. (His clock was also set back to December 4th, so I'm not sure what that was all about...)

New Christmas Tamagotchis

I ended up taking a break for over a month and it probably would have continued if it wasn't for Christmas. There ended up being a few new additions to my collection, so let's introduce you to them!

Eevee Tamagotchi

I was absolutely shocked to receive an Eevee Tama from my parents for Christmas! I had briefly mentioned it to my mom at one point, but I was mostly just talking about how hard they are to find and wasn't even making a present suggestion. This was by far one of the coolest gifts I got this year.🥺 (Another incredible gift my mom managed to score was the Fire Emblem 30th Anniversary box set. They ran out really quick, but she managed to grab one when they briefly restocked.) I hadn't been able to start it up until this evening (eeveening, perhaps?) and it's super cute! I'm avoiding spoilers for how to raise the various eeveelutions (at least for my first generation), but I'm hoping for a Vaporeon because she's my favorite Pokemon.

qYXvznU.jpg
n4lxqZ4.jpg

Mesutchi and Osutchi

I had asked for an Mesutchi and Osutchi pair for Christmas, so they were a little less surprising, but still an absolutely wonderful gift to receive! I went to start them up this evening as well and it turns out that they didn't come with batteries... I only have one pair of LR44 batteries so RIP. I'm going out and getting an oil change for my car tomorrow, so I'll pick up some more batteries then.

We've finally made it to the end of this update! I'm hoping to run my Tamas more often, but my work schedule is picking back up again. Spring and Summer is when my job is in full swing, so I'm trying to squeeze in as much time as I can with them before then. I'll try to update again when I can, but who knows when that'll be. :p

BONUS:

Kirby (my brother's cat) always steals the spotlight when I'm trying to take pictures!

The last post I made ended on a "hopefully I can update the log more often" kind of note, but I instead disappeared from the website and the hobby for over a year. Nice. For real though, maybe I'll stick to it this time (this totally isn't foreshadowing whatareyoutalkingabout). Speaking of previous posts, I apologize to desktop users for the size of photos on my old posts. I think the site update may have blown them up and now they take up a ton of room lol (mobile looks normal though). I'm not complaining though because this version of TamaTalk is crisp.

Pix
Anyways, my reason for returning to Tamagotchis is because I received a Pix for Christmas! I was surprised to actually see it on Christmas Day, because I was fairly certain they weren't suppose to release till this month. Seems that they shipped some preorders out for the holidays.
My first generation was a boy that I named, Peepy. (I may have also received a Peepy for Christmas:rolleyes2:) His evolution line went as follows: Blue egg-> Tamabotchi-> Puchitomatchi-> Terukerotchi-> Mametchi. Peepy stuck around for a few days before becoming a chef and leaving me with a pink egg.
My second and current generation is, OuiOui, whose evolution went as follows: Pink egg-> Tamabotchi-> Puchitomatchi-> Terukerotchi-> Kuchipatchi. I haven't begun train OuiOui for a specific career path yet, but I'm aiming for something other than chef.
20220105_222552.jpg20220105_222627.jpg
I want to do a little review on my thoughts about the Pix because I think it's actually a pretty interesting entry in the Tamagotchi franchise. First off, the touch buttons are surprisingly very responsive! My only gripe with them is that I have to use my index finger instead of my thumb because my thumb will sideswipe other buttons. This mostly happens when I try to hit B to select something and my thumb ends up grazing the C button and backing me out of it instead. Literally the opposite of what I asked for.
The features that utilize the camera are also a lot more engaging than I expected them to be. The most fun I have with the outer camera is using the decor or cooking features, but I don't use it for my tama to "explore" it's surroundings too often, which I think was the main selling point. However, I LOVE the internal camera and being able to take screenshots of your tamas cutest moments is such a cool addition.
I enjoy the "slower" pace of this version compared to its immediate predecessors. The baby/toddler stage lasts for one day, the teen stage lasts for two days, and the adult stage lasts for four, bringing us to a total of one week with a single character. Marriage has been thrown out the window in favor of your Tamagotchi pursuing a career back on the Tamagotchi planet, then selecting a new egg for you to raise. This caught me completely off guard because marriage or death have always been the only two ways to continue on to the next generation, but I like this new take on it.
Finally, I really like the roster of raisable characters for the Pix. I remember a few years back that there were complaints about how a lot of the new characters looked like generic popstars and how out of place the old ones looked comparatively (which I totally agree). However, I feel like this character line up did a good job of integrating old characters with newer ones (I never expected to see Sebiretchi as a raisable character again, but here she is). Also, the newest character designs are reminiscent of older, "weirder" designs, which I'm happy to see (I would DIE for Weeptchi is what I'm really saying lol). It may just be a coincidence, but it really feels like Bandai has been listening to their fans complaints, which is very cool to see!
Sorry for this wall of text, but I've just had a lot of thoughts about the Pix because I've genuinely been enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would and it's made me excited about Tamagotchis again.

Eevee Tamagotchi
I've started up the Eevee Tamagotchi tonight because I've tragically only raised on generation with it! Now I might not stick to this, but I would like to raise each missing Eeveelution right in a row. I think it should be manageable because minis are easy to raise, so it's more of a matter of not getting bored.
20220105_222305.jpg

iD L 15th Anniversary
My 15th Anniversary iD L caught my attention while I was getting my Eevee Tamagotchi from my collection, so I decided it would be fun to run this one as well. I believe I've stated my nostalgia for the iD L multiple times over the years, so it makes sense that I was immediately drawn to it.
Upon startup I was greeted by a baby Marutchi that I have named, Aisling. She evolved into a UFOtchi while I was writing this, so I'll add that photo in my next post.
20220105_222453.jpg

P's
We can't forget about my boy, Gus! I started running him tonight with the other two because this new group of tamas needs their patriarch.
According to my personal logs, Gus, has been paused for about 370 days. (My personal log also shows a bit of a lost generation of tamas that you guys never got to see whoops) This doesn't feel right at all because it feels like I only took a break from them for a couple of months, but time really just keeps ticking, doesn't it?
20220105_222707.jpg

I sincerely hope to post again soon this time. It's been too long since I've been involved with the community and the hobby!

I have what might be a sort of odd question about the green Pix: exactly what shade of green is it? In your photos and some others I've seen it looks almost teal/turquoise. I don't know if that's from the lighting in the photos or my laptop's color settings, but if the shell really is that color then I'm definitely buying another Pix because teal/turquoise is my favorite color.

(I'm also glad to see so many other people took one look at Weeptchi and fell in love with him.)

The body is a bit closer to a mint color, imo. However, I'd say that the top is somewhat of a turquoise color, or at least some mix of green and blue. I think the photos that I took make both shades a little darker than what they are (and in the case of the top, a little bluer). Overall, I think the color leans more green irl, but if you like more green in your turquoise, then it might be worth getting one.

So, I had this post pretty much finished yesterday, but I got interrupted before I could post it. I'll start on today's post right after this and I'll hopefully get it all done in one sitting.

Pix
This morning I woke up to find OuiOui and his house very dirty.
20220106_174651.jpg20220106_180730.jpg
^He ZOOM!
I've still not trained OuiOui in a career path because all I keep getting offered is the kitchen mini game. If it's still the same by tomorrow, then I guess I'll just have him pursue a career as a chef like his father. That's fine though because chef Kuchipatchi is thematically appropriate.
Bonus photo of OuiOui inviting the store clerk to his house:
20220106_181339.jpg

Eevee Tamagotchi
Nothing new with the Eevee today, but I noticed that I forgot to mention her name in the last post. Her name is, River, because I'm hoping to actually raise a Vapeoreon this time.
20220106_180928.jpg

iD L 15th Anniversary
Like I mentioned in the last post, Aisling, evolved into a UFOtchi late last night. We decided to plant a seed this morning, so hopefully that grows into something nice. I don't remember how long it takes for a plant to grow, but I think we should be seeing the results tomorrow.
20220106_181250.jpg20220106_181011.jpg20220106_181048.jpg20220106_181107.jpg

And that's all for today! We should be seeing some evolutions tomorrow, so we'll see you then!

Back-to-back posts, here we go!

Pix
OuiOui finally managed to get training for a career other than chef. He's training to be a workout instructor (?) or something involving a gym. There's a crowd of people cheering him on during the mini game, so I'm not sure what else he could be. I also love this career for Kuchipatchi because it's very ironic.
20220107_160036.jpg

Eevee Tamagotchi
There's nothing new with, River, today. I'm sort of surprised because I thought minis only needed one day to evolve, but the Eevee Tamagotchi must be different.

iD L 15th Anniversary
Aisling evolved into a Morutchi this morning. I've been connecting her with Gus in hopes that she'll evolve into Princess Tamako. They've connected 40 times, so we should be fine (I purposely over did it, just to be sure).
20220107_155746.jpg20220107_155810.jpg20220107_155950.jpg

P's
There's nothing new with, Gus, as per the usual. That's kind of the reason I'm updating on him. I hatched him almost four years ago on 2/5/19 and since then I've had him running anytime I wasn't on a break from vpets. According to my personal logs, he's been unpaused for a total of 415 days. As proud as I am to have kept him alive so long, I've started to get bored with with the "challenge" of raising this particular long-lived oldie. We're kind of at a stand-still because there's really not much to do but keep him alive at this point (which is fairly easy with the P's). Every time I have him running alongside my other tamas, it just kind of feels like he's taking up time and space. All this rambling to say, I think I'm just going to retire him (and the P's) for the foreseeable future. I've already raised every character available to me, so I don't have a problem with putting the P's back on the shelf. Maybe one day in the future I'll let Gus get married and I'll download some of Mr. Blinky's virtual deco pierces. For now, it's time for him to rest. See you later, Gus!

That's all for today! Since Gus is retiring, I'm thinking of running another Tama in his place. I'm not sure what I'm going to pick yet, but I likely won't start running anything until Monday. That'll be a fun surprise for a future update~

Pix
OuiOui asked to put together a photo album this morning. His career in fitness allowed him to transform into Patchiman! He selected a green egg for me to raise after he returned to the Tamagotchi Planet. The green egg hatched into a baby girl who I have named, Artemis. She evolved into Chiroritchi after an hour.
20220110_134130.jpg20220110_134403.jpg20220110_134542.jpg20220110_134731.jpg

Eevee Tamagotchi
River finally evolved into a Vapeoreon yesterday! Nice to see that she's properly living up to her namesake. Unfortunately, the only way to get to the next generation on the Eevee Tamagotchi is to neglect your Pokemon, as is the case with most minis. I forget how long it takes, so I guess I'll just leave her alone all day tomorrow.:-(
20220110_133956.jpg
(I love that Vapeoreon has alien eyes.:alien:)

iD L 15th Anniversary
Aisling evolved into Princess Tamako, just like I was hoping she would. It didn't take long to obtain her first three happy stamps and she got her last one this morning. I sent her to the matchmaker at the same time OuiOui was putting together his photo album, so I could raise their kids together. She got married to Prince Tamahiko, which I found to be thematically appropriate. Together they had a daughter that I named, Athena. She evolved into a Tororotchi.

iD
I ended up choosing to run the iD because I know that I'm only missing a handful of characters. A quick look at my TamaTomo list revealed that I'm only missing three male characters (Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, and Gozarutchi). Luckily, there was a baby boy waiting for me. I've named him, Zagreus. He's still a baby, so you'll have to wait till the next post to see what he evolves into.;))

It's been awhile since my last update, so I'll try my best to condense the events of last week.

Artemis evolved into a Haretchi on Tuesday (which I have no pictures of). Between then and adulthood, her batteries died, which I think has delayed her age a bit. It says she's only four today, but she should be six. Luckily, it didn't delay her evolution, because she still evolved into a Neliatchi on Thursday. Artemis has been working on her career as a musician. Funny enough, the music mini game is the exact same as the gym mini game.

Eevee Tamagotchi
It took almost two days, but River finally ended up leaving on Wednesday. I immediately restarted with a new Eevee named, Cerberus. Today he evolved into Flareon, of course. I'll want to keep him around for a least another day, but after that, he's going to be left alone like River...-_-

Tamagotchi iD L 15th Anniversary
Athena evolved into a Mikazukitchi on Tuesday and then into a Mimitchi on Thursday. She got all her happy stamps on Saturday and she just got married today. I decided to stop running the iD L after this because I'm trying to prevent tama burnout., so no new tama will be replacing it.

Zagreus was a Hanepatchi. This resolves the cliffhanger from the last post. Then on Tuesday he evolved into Kialatchi and on Thursday he evolved into a Mametchi. It didn't take long to gather his first three Tamatomo symbols, but I forgot that the fourth one took three days instead of two. Zagreus got his final Tamatomo today and I married him off. Luckily, he left me with a baby boy so I can continue to collect the last of the missing characters. His son is named, Hermes, and he's also evolved into a Hanetchi (no pictures).
