Hey fans! Today we will find out how to mate Tamagotchis! So the only devices that can mate is...

1. Meets fairy, magic, sanrio, other meets tamas

2. ALL of the Ons

3. Tamagotchi Connection ver 1-4.5

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________How to mate:

So you are REQUIRED to wait until it reaches Fully Grown. For color generations, you might need to wait 4-5 days. For Tamagotchi Connection however... You might need to wait 4,5, or if you are unlucky 6 or more.

If its at Teenager stage you might need to wait 24 hours. Sometimes 48 hours in sometimes...

After thats over with, you can do it!

If you have a Color generation, If you have a high bond, you can buy a ring to try it! There are 2 rings avalable. One is heart ring, witch has a 50% chance with success. The other one, has 100% chance.

If you have a Connection, you need to wait for the Matchmaker to come. Click yes, and you are done! However if you click No, your Tama will be a Oldie within a week or 6 days. You are still able to mate Oldie Tama, or it can pass because of old age.

Good bye and have a good day, afternoon, evening, or night!

Yes that is very true. However, old Tamas seem to call for help more often, So if you take REALLY good care of it, you might keep it longer!

Adding onto the Connection advice - in actuality, all Connection models up to the Tamatown Tama-Go (considered a part of the collections/tentatively dubbed the "V7" ((though no-one uses that term lol)) despite never being officially named as such) can mate! So this would not only include the V1-V4.5, but additionally, the V5 and V5.5 (Familitchi and Celebrity Familitchi, respectively), V6 (Music Star), and aforementioned Tama-Go :D  The early Connections are unbelievably fussy on when the Matchmaker comes - I swear, sometimes they don't come until my tama reaches 8 years of age!

The V5 and V5.5, while also needing your Tamagotchi to wait until a certain age, has a dedicated dating channel that you can access at any time. However, you can only use it three times per day, which is annoying when you're trying to get that specific partner for that family you've been trying to get for the past ten generations...

Luckily, the Matchmaker can/will visit multiple times each day before your Tamagotchi becomes an oldie. Very true about being able to mate them still - you can get the secret character, Oyajitchi, through this method!  :)

Exactly! Across basically all versions involving senior-age Tamagotchis (mostly the Connection line, haha), your tama will grow needier the longer you keep it around for. I've seen logs on Tamatalk where their senior-aged 'gotchis on the Connections grow to staggering ages - I think one ran theirs for a whole year! It's honestly amazing. (and much easier to achieve on the colors, save for the +Color which still has the senior stage, oops...)

Previous Japanese colours prior to the Meets/ON can also mate - this includes the +Color, iD, iD L, P's, 4U/4U+, and m!x (etc etc)! All of these versions, save for the m!x (which works the same as the ON/Meets, specified above in Kikichi_Star's post), involve different forms of proposal - usually a date place, which unlocks when your Tamagotchi reaches a certain age.

As a collective - vintage tamagotchi models vary (the Osutchi/Mesutchi well known for being the first models to introduce Tamagotchis marrying and breeding, as well as connection - not through infrared, unlike the Connections), though the P1/P2 do not feature any form of mating.

Hope this helps to clarify!  ^_^
