Maybe there will be the improvements you are looking for in the next one, the Pix Party I think it's called.
I hope so, but that won't benefit me - I'll only let myself get burned on a £60 device once, and now probably won't take the risk on any colour or touch-enabled Tamagotchis again. :babytchi: (For example, I had originally been considering importing the Smart, but the Pix put me off.)

Ooh i though the mix and matching of the parents was the tamagotchi mix! Maybe they both have this feature?

The M!x and the Meets/On both have that, yes. :smile2:
I just started gen 2 of the on today and i love it!!!! I love my little twins so much haha, do you always get twins?

They do, but from what I understand some of them have features missing. Most people wanted an English version of the mix and we got the on instead.
I see. The on will lose a lot of charm when the app dies soon :/

Im gonna be honest, the smart is boring. I dont feel like i wasted the money because I just like to have it anyways but its very boring for me, and the touch screen is way worse than the pix. You have to long press the screen and scrolling is incredibly difficult. I cant imagine how annoying this may be for someone with hands on the larger side because there is even less swiping room to make the scroll happen. I notice the pix touch screen gets worse when the batteries start to die. But its generally ok when you get the hang of it at least. Although I think I will just get the pix party because its so pretty and thats my habit haha, I’ll play it for 2-3 weeks maybe. I kinda wish bandai would rerelease connections. Modern day kids would like those so much more than the p1 release and releases like the pix are not practical for kids/too expensive.

Yep, that was what I expected due to my experiences with the Pix, unfortunately. :-(

In my experience, kids these days who take an interest in Tamagotchis tend to be put off by over-complicated models, Connexion line included, since they're used to technology that gives them quicker results. Of course, I don't have a scientific sample-size there, but I did find it interesting to observe!

Feeling like the odd one out here as well. I do like the Pix and its an amazing content packed Tamagotchi, but I very much gravitate towards my Smart or Connections if I want to have something to perma-run. I feel it gets too needy sometimes and the size factor is becoming a slight dealbreaker for me since returning to in-person work but its just me. Its an awesome Tama to run when I'm having a long weekend though.

I am super interested to see how the following Pix update will stand though.

I've had it for a month, and I do like it, though I don't love the touch buttons (they can be a little finicky and it took a bit to get used to them).
