That’s a good topic!

From Tamagotchi’s I would say Tamagotchi iD Conan version. It is a limited edition and said that there are only 100 versions of it. Just imagine the prices!
And we can’t forget Ysashii, it is considered to be one of the rarest vintage Tamagotchi’s.

Other virtual pets will have to be Magical Witches, they are one of the rarest if not the rarest vpets ever existed! Also they are VERY expensive! :oo
I also came across this interesting flower like vpet and it’s called Hana Hana Mi. It is rare and not really easy to find. For a vintage vpet it has so many interesting features. :kasatchi:

I would love to see what people think. happy2
Dont even get me started on Magical Witches. I'm furious with the prices they go far. Even more so that I've seen people on YouTube who have ALL variations and do not even appreciate them properly. They belong in The Tamagotchi Treasury but still they are not being added.even worse they are my most wanted for the treasury.

They are not common and the information about them is also limited which makes it even difficult. I managed to get all four of them (let’s not talk about the prices :oo) and and I was overwhelmed while I was running them all! I will do my best to play with them again to understand how they all work together!

The prices are outrageous, and while it sucks that other players might not treat them the best, one also has to remember that if they want to devalue their own property, that's their perogative. It's like getting mad at a rich person for trashing their lambo. Sure, it'd be AWESOME to have a lamborghini, but I don't and also don't have a say over how others handle theirs. Some people just aren't great at handling things gingerly, and it's a skill that takes an intensely long time to develop- I know that from personal experience but have improved. Thankfully things like tamagotchi cases and handbag organizers exist. Heck, even my grandmother wears an apron when eating because she always somehow stains her clothes, and my other one gets food sauces everywhere; it's not a natural talent for many of us.

Personally, if I had the witches, I'd likely get them insured and stored in a water/fireproof safe when not playing them. When I buy a house I'm definitely getting one for my collection on the whole.

It's so interesting how many different variations of Tamagotchis are there! On a similar topic, I wonder if there are any specific language Tamagotchis that are particularly rare to find?
Certainly for new color versions, the English iDL has become particularly obscure. I haven't seen maybe more than 3 in the wild since my time of collecting as an adult. I was so surprised to learn about the Russian version Tamagotchi Friends though!

Fair enough, I think part of it is people just don't talk about the yasashii either.

I just did a little digging and when looking online it looks like the only way to know for sure if you're buying a test version of the osutchi or mesutchi is if you have the original packaging(as most people might not know what they have if so). That said, I'm going to keep my eyes peeled as an osu and mesu have been in my wish list! 😲

Also, I figured out the quote thing, whoo!
Im selling a blue and pink osutchi mesutchi, both in packaging, and in near flawless condition.

These are the standard release version I'm afraid. The test marketing version has slightly different packaging, with the easiest difference to identify being the additional text in a red oval above the TAMAGOTCH UFO logo.

(Also, last I checked, we were not allowed to buy and sell on this forum? Unless there was a rule change with the software upgrade...?)

I wish you the best of luck with your sale on a suitable platform, but, as @OldSchoolVPQ notes, I'm afraid that we don't allow sales here due to previous abuses of the system.

Wow, there’s so much amazing information here!!

I’m sure it’s not the rarest, by any means, but there is a particularly rare one I’m curious about. In 2006, a Mamegoma virtual pet was released by Bandai, leading me to wonder if it is, by some standard, an official Tama?

It has some pretty neat features (including a little mamegoma occasionally popping out of the top of the system itself; for what reasons I once knew but have since forgotten), but, ever since starting my search for it back somewhere around 2016-2018, I haven’t found an available listing for it once.

im wondering if anyone has any info on this?? There are seldom any pictures of this ‘tama’ online, around 9 being present by searching it’s title. It’s certainly quite rare, though just how rare, I’m entirely unsure.

It's not technically a Tama, but it was made by Bandai so I agree the concept is definitely similar. It might be possible to dig up the instruction guide in Bandai's online archives. I see the toy listed here in Japan occasionally...for like, over $800. You're right, definitely rare!

Oh, wow!!! That’s crazy, it’s insane just how rare things like that get-

How cool!! it’s wild just how unknown this seems to be, in the US, at least,,

Wish I could get my hands on one!! It’s sad that there’s no documentation of this anywhere else on the forum, I expected there to be, but I can’t find this mentioned on any archive or any thread here!

Tamawalkie is also a very rare tamagotchi pedometer. It has an actual plot which takes place before the events of Tama and Earth EXPO. The tama then crashes to Earth and now you have to travel around USA, collecting the parts to fix the UFO
