Hi I'm new here and I wanna know how to get rid of these smudges on my v4.5. My niece was messing with it and everytime I clean the screen these smudges wont go away

Do you know what kind of residue is on the screen, or is it scratches? If it is scratches you can try polywatch.
If it is some other residue it would help to identify it first, but a little orange oil on the end of a cotton swab would probably remove it.

I don't know... When I finally got it back from my niece the screen was cloudy and flithy so then I started cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol and it looked good as new and then when it dried it the screen turned into this nightmare. My tama still works but unfortunately my niece reset it and my ura zukyutchi is gone forever
I asked on Amazon if Displex plastic polish would help and someone answered and basically said no. I'm so sad I got that tama when it was first released and in Toys r us too. I might give that orange oil a try.

Without seeing it in person I couldn't say for sure, but this looks like condensation or something on the inside of the screen - was the device dropped in liquid?

It probably was... it wasn't wet when I took it away from my niece tho. which probably means it dried up from whatever she did to it. It still works tho.

If it's been in water/a drink/whatever, then you'll most likely have to take the device apart to clean up the back side of the screen (it'd be the quickest way, at any rate). I haven't done this with any of the Connection models, so my best advice there is to watch a tutorial video and then be super-careful if you go ahead and follow it.
Again, though, this is all just guesswork on my part - I'm just going by how the photo looks on my monitor!

The screen doesn't feel smooth like it used to it feels dry and little hard? Like it needs to be buffered and polished. I have screwdrivers but none of them can take out the little screws from the back. And I'm a little rough when it comes to fixing things. I wonder if I find a hobby shop they might be able to fix it? I was thinking about taking it to a jeweler but I'll probably look dumb going there.

I would suggest putting it rice if it got wet but i dont know if its too late for that sadly

It's just that the screen is scuffed up. It seems like I'm going to have to take it apart and use polywatch and try my best to buffer the scuffs out. I was planning on going to a hobby shop or jeweler but that'll be probaby expensive... So I'll just wait to my next paycheck and order the polywatch polish and JIS screwdriver and hope for the best!It may be best to swap the plastic than to try and salvage it. Try and find a cheap tama to use for parts and have it on hand before opening yours up. Open the parts tama first to get a feel for how to do it, then open your tama and do the swap. Then if you damage any screws in the process you will have extra from the parts tama and can swap those too.

You can try it for sure. They might come out. It is difficult for me to tell exactly how bad the scuffs are from a photo. The level of scuffs you have it might be more work than it is worth. If you know it is surface scuffing you can try cleaning the screen with polywatch/displex without opening it up, but you don’t want to get the product too close to the edge as the product can get stuck in the space between the screen lens and the black border. It will be easier to open it and remove the lense to clean it, but you can try it first without opening it to see if it is working and decide your next step from there.
Put a dot of the polywatch/displex in the center of the lens and buff with the end of a cotton swab. You will need to repeat this several times. Then wipe clean with a lens cloth.
If you decide to open it, then I’d recommend to have a lens from another junk tama handy just in case. Plus it would give you practice opening the junk one up and give you confidence to do it to your own tama.

Also, if your neice has access to things like acetone, it could be melted from that. Acetone is gnarly on plastics.
Definitely try taking out the lens and polishing it up.
Also consider this: liquid screen protectors! Those things has a hot minute of popularity. They may be what you need as you mentioned when the screen is wet the scratches dissapears. No matter what you try, however, I really reccomend taking the lens out so you don't get anything on the tama's shell in and of itself. Just be careful pulling off the back cover, you run the risk of damaging the speaker solder, but if you're easy on it it shouldn't be an issue, I've done it easily 30+ times and have only "broken" the sound on two, one because I was an impatient teen(so not careful) and the other because I was removing the speaker because I was getting the shell electroplated.

Well I'll try the polywatch and if that fails I'll go with what you said about getting a cheaper tama and switching the screens. Thank you. ❤ I'm very attached to my tama and I honestly don't have the heart to get rid of it if all else fails.
Yeah I'm gonna get the polywatch and give it a try. I also need to get those JIS screwdrivers too. One of the screws in the back of the tama is stripped because I was trying to open it one time and the screwdriver I was using obviously wasn't compatible but I was being stubborn. I honestly thought about going to a jeweler or hobby shop but something tells me that might be a little expensive...

Yeah, probably. I'd still consider hitting up a watch repair place or something of the sort to see if they would even consider working on it, and then you'd at least have a price quote. If it's not much you might prefer to just have them tackle it. That said, hit up a Fastenal if there's one near you to find out what size replacement screws you need. That way you can put in nice and fresh ones. There's different lengths(one length holding the board, another the back to the front, and technically a 3rd holding the battery cover on but I don't think that's the screws you meant) so be sure to bring in both!

Woah that's a WORLD of difference! It looks great! Now get a screen protector on it! I heard a while back as it oxidizes after using polywatch it can get looking a bit icky again*.
A little hazy would still be WAY better than it was, but also keeping a screen protector on it in general would keep it from getting scratched and the potential oxidization issue from happening.
*again I heard that, I haven't tested for myself

Yeah I'm gotta order a screen protector next. It might take me awhile tho lol I've been busy. I've looked up before and after photos of people using polywatch I've never seen someone commenting about any oxidization issues but I guess I rather be safe than sorry lol

Could have been a dream too, Idk if you've ever had dreams so real you think you're just going about your day. I could have seen something about someone using it on a vpet screen one day, and my brain remembering it's only a temporary fix for the haze against headlights- it's very likely I had a dream where I was on TT and read that(could have sworn it was on here
) and it just stuck. If you've read about others using it and no one else has mentioned an issue, I'm chalking it up to my brain doing the dumb thing, lol. Don't trust me on this one!

Lol. Maybe it could've or did happened to someone on here or on a different forum. It could have been faulty or expired(?) polish they used that messed up their vpet. So far I haven't experienced any issues with my Tama after I used the polywatch. I did get a little on the shell and one of the butterflies on it got half erased but I'm gonna cover it up with some stick on rhinestones. I wanna customize it to look like A$ap Rocky's tama
