Wow! That would cost me £25-40. (I'm English).

I might get one along with a new cell phone for my b-day or christmas*_*

It is very cute; I only wish I could read in Japanese. :furawatchi: I am not exactly "loving" the little heart at the top though.

Some of us already know, but is good telling other members..

At this point..I don't think it will come out in the US.... :furawatchi:

It was released today (April 29). The retail price is 4725 yen, which works out to about $42 US at the current exchange rate. I've seen only pink ones in the stores in Tokyo, but on the web I saw a picture of a light blue one. The Kakeibo is actually a lot nicer looking in real life than it is in the announcement pictures that Bandai has posted on the Japanese Tamagotchi web site. https://tamagotch.channel.or.jp/tama_kakeibo/index.html The four direction tap areas and the "S" and "C" tap areas are part of the background sheet, behind the screen, so aren't so loud. This makes the screen appear much larger, and correctly proportioned to the body size. Also the body color is a softer pink.

The Heart at the top is the infrared port. You can connect to an EnTama (and a KeiTama?) using it. (Both the EnTama and KeiTama are Japanese version Tamagotchis.)

The Kakeibo is sort of like TamaTown but without the need to enter passwords. There are twelve places to visit. Six of these are shops you can buy things from: Drug Store, Convenience store, Gotchi Ginza Super (supermarket), Discount Shop, Flower shop, and Candy shop. The other six locations are: Gotchi Ginza Ginko (bank), Game Center, the Management Center (where I think you can manage some settings for the Kakeibo), a vacant lot, a library? (where I think you can manage information about EnTamas you connect to it), and what I think is somebody's house. I'm not sure about the translation of those last two, and I'm not sure what the vacant lot is for.

Once you've set the date, time, character's name, and your birth date, you're plunked down on the map. You can see only one city block at a time. Each location (shop, bank, game center, etc.) occupies one whole city block. Tap the screen on the direction tap areas (the arrows at the top, sides, and bottom), to have your character walk in that direction. When s/he hits the edge of the screen, the display will scroll to show the new location. Tap the center of the screen to enter the current building. The shops have different business hours, so sometimes you will find they are closed, and you can't enter them.

You start off with $G$ 1000 in the Kakeibo. You can increase this by earning $G$ at the games center, or by transfer some $G$ from your EnTama to the Kakeibo. You can purchase items from the shops using the money you have in the Kakeibo. Then you transfer the items from the Kakeibo to your EnTama. One thing I noticed is that sometimes a couple of the shops will have the same item for sale - at different prices. Sometimes the prices are below those from the shop in e-tamago (Japanese TamaTown web site).
