I don't like the pix very much either but I like the faceplates, that's fun. I don't know why I wanted to customize anything about it, I think just because it seemed weird or a challenge. I hate this, but I think my least favorite is the SMART. (I feel like I could be crucified for saying that)...

Not likely, since the paint is very thick and scratch resistant so any scraping or chemical would probably damage the original faceplate. I think your best bet is to make a mold and you can make a clear resin plate. Or you can always buy one.

Can you explain the error a little more specifically? May it will be easier to fix unless you already did.
