Oh right I completely forgot I had some Tamagotchi pixel art I posted on my dA: https://monochromepixel.deviantart.com/gallery/31356547 (With some Pokemon and other things thrown in.)
Preview of what they look like:
All my Tama drawings are poop doodles. Here's two examples:
If you want to see more (why you'd want to I wouldn't know), you can check out my art blog on tumblr: https://wehaveanartblog.tumblr.com/tagged/tamagotchi
(The last Memetchi there isn't mine though. I share this blog with a friend...
My first was a V1! <3 I got it because I saw the commercials for it. I only knew one other kid that had a Tama at the time, so we'd connect all the time. To this day I don't really understand why it suddenly exploded into popularity with the V2s when almost no one had a V1.
You'll like the V2 if you like the V3. The main difference between the two is that the V3 has passwords for TamaTown and they have a different set of characters. A lot of the characters on it are quite cute. ;)
Agreeing that it's not worth $100 for a new one, though.
I'm in high school and the school has a strict no electronics policy, so I'm not able to use them as easily as I could when I was in elementary or middle school. =/ Might try to sometime to just sneak them quickly between classes and use them at lunch...
Here's three I put together awhile ago.
Pokemon RBY
Pokemon RSE
Classic Sonic
An example of the Classic Sonic one being used:
If I ever run my Tama-go again, I'll probably change to the Pokemon RSE one. :)
I would love to play a Tamagotchi RPG! <3
Shame that if said game was released in Japan, with most major retailers in anywhere not-Japan starting to stop carrying the Tamagotchi themselves, it's a shame it most likely wouldn't be released in English. :c
Oh man, I can't believe I'm just hearing about this! It seems like a great way to celebrate the 15th anniversary! Pokemon also had its 15th anniversary this year, and all that happened was 3 C-Gear skins and a Pokedex skin of the Kanto starters got released as digital downloads for Black and...
The V1 commercial! I saw it on TV and went "Oooh, a virtual pet! Kind of want." but never really gave it a second thought. One day I was at Building 19, and my dad pointed out the Tamagotchi. They were up on a high shelf so I couldn't even see them. I immediately recognized the name from the...
