Hopefully it's OK to have two logs running at once... I wanted to keep my Tama log and Digimon log separate. It's not like there's so much activity on this board that I'm drowning anyone out so XD It should be fine???

Anyway, today I decided to open up my DIGIMON X!!

unknown.png

I've had these for a while but never opened them up. I know next to nothing about them. I just got them because they are Digimon and I wanted them for my collection XD

Compared to Digimon ver20 they seem to have some extra complexities, according to the instruction manual. The Digimon now gain EXP and gain levels! There's also something called XAI that can be active once a day or something, but I'm not entirely sure what it does...

You don't get to name the devices on the devices themselves like you do with ver20. But I named the black/red device META-X and the white/blue device POD-X, a reference to my username other places Metapod.

unknown.png

So I took the battery thingies out, pressed the reset button like a good little pod, and set the time! I actually did it in the afternoon so they're not going to immediately go to sleep this time once they hatch/evolve.

The egg is kind of ugly, just plain with a big X on it. I guess it's Digimon X so they have to have an X. Not my favorite design XD But not as bad as the checkerboard P2 western egg.

unknown.png

After the egg hatches this crazy thing happens. I have no idea what was going on. There was an X-like pattern with little flashing dots everywhere... kinda freaked me out XD I thought maybe something bad happened XD

unknown.png

Then they hatched into cute little Puttimons! Look at how adorable they are! They have little wings and a little horn thing on their head!! I love them so much! I don't really know a ton about Digimon cartoons and stuff so I've never seen this little one before. So adorable. I love it!!

unknown.png

I fed them and trained them to get their hearts up. Now the hearts have half meters but there's only 2 hearts. The manual showed a hungry meter of 3 hearts so maybe they get more max hearts as they evolve. Anyway, I went and folded 2 towels and came back and already they lost half a heart!!! I guess they are babies so they need constant attention... I forgot how needy Digimon can be. Also they pooped like literally every 3 minutes. I mean, I didn't time it but it seemed like shorter than 5 minutes at least.

unknown.png

After like 15 minutes or so of being babies, they already evolved into Tokomons. These ones are not as cute as Puttimon (can I have it back please?) but still cute, and now they shoot bubbles in training which is particularly cute.

My instinct is to raise them the best I can but then I'll have identical experiences with both... so I'm thinking I will only take one to bed and let the other go without care while I sleep and see how different they end up. Maybe if I have to go to the grocery or something I'll only take the one with me too. META-X will be the one I give complete care to, and POD-X will be the one that gets neglected lol. I kinda feel bad but I want to see different Digimon evolutions XD

I don't know if it's like ver20 or VB where they HAVE to do so many numbers of battles to evolve to the next stage, or if it's more like Tamagotchi where they'll evolve over time. If I notice they are not evolving for a long time, I might try fighting more battles.

Ummm, while I was typing this something happened!

unknown.png

The Tokomon in META-X got angry!! It started making angry faces and a ! appeared. I didn't know what I was supposed to do!! So I just pressed a button and then the crazy thing with the flashing dots happened again o_o; Afterward, a Sukamon appeared! And it did the thing like in training where the pointer goes over the bar and you have to stop it at the height of the graph. But I was too busy messing with my phone to take pictures that I didn't get to stop it in time and ran out of time... Then Tokomon and Sukamon had a battle and Tokomon lost :( Now I have a 0/1 W/L record hahaha. And no EXP!! So I guess you only gain EXP for wins...

I think I will also feed POD-X protein pills instead of training him, while always training META-X instead of feeding protein. That might vary which evolution they get too. I'm avoiding guides for now just to see how a 'blind' experience goes with them :)

And that's the beginning of my adventures with Digimon X :) Has anyone played with these before? I don't see much about them on here.

Yep, you're good - it's not like you're making a new thread for each log-entry or anything like that. ;))

Looking forward to reading this one - I haven't seen a ton about the Digimon X, and I'd like to know more since I already enjoy the originals and the 20th Anniversary version.

Thanks Penguin ^^

I read the manual a bit more and it seems the crazy flashing dots is the XAI system, which is basically a random roll to determine how hard the battles will be. You can roll 1-7 dots and the lower the roll, the harder the battles will be. The bar you have to stop will go faster and the enemy Digimon will get more powerful.

There are 3 types of XAI events: Daily, Quest, and Battle:

  • The Daily one occurs as soon as the Digimon wakes up for the day (or in my case, when it hatches). This one gives overall daily difficulty as well as rate of random events (like the random battle that I got).
  • The Quest one occurs when you begin a quest for the day, and determines the difficulty of quest battles for the whole day.
  • The Battle one occurs before each battle and determines difficulty of that individual battle.

So it seems like there's quite a lot of influence to the XAI system, and you roll a lot.

I tried out quest mode with META-X and was able to defeat the first boss! Then I even made it to the second area boss, but lost. There were 2 battles before each boss. There's even a little map that you move along as you complete battles, as well as rest stations (apparently, according to the menu) where you can feed your Digimon to keep it healthy between battles. I noticed after my 6 battles my hunger hearts had almost completely depleted!

When you do your ultimate attack, there's a close-up of your Digimon's face for a second. It's very cool! Tokomon's face is quite scary hahaha. I'll try to get a photo of it next time.

OK, I've learned some more after playing with them more and reading the manual some more.

You actually get a notification when you unlock a new evolution! It seems to be related to how well you do in Quest Battles. I got one for META-X that said ?03 after beating Renamon:X in the second area boss battle. I also got META-X to level 3, which is the max level for infancy 2 stage Digimon. It puts a little star next to the level which is nice.

Your max HP, max level, max hungry/strength, etc. changes as you evolve.

Digimon seem to evolve after certain amounts of time. It takes 10 minutes to evolve from Infancy to Infancy 2, 12 hours to go from Infancy 2 to Rookie, 24 hours from Rookie to Champion, etc. Under Ultimate (stage V) it says "Digivolves under certain circumstances," and under Mega (Stage VI) it says "Digimon with an ultimate strength surpassing the complete stage" whatever that means.

I am going to guess it works like Vital Bracelet where if you pass the required about of time but don't meet the requirements to evolve, you will simply restart the timer until you do meet the requirements. From the look of the instruction manual, evolution to Champion (stage IV) is guaranteed, but after that, you'll need special requirements to become additional stages.

In ver20, you could tuck your Digimon in for a nap during the day that would last 3 hours. In this one, you put them in "cold mode" which literally shoves them in a refrigerator XDDDD I don't like using pause/babysitter functions much so I probably won't use this myself, but it's funny to see the little fridge in the instruction manual.

When Digimon die in this one, they become a computer (o_O)

unknown.png

I tried out the VS battles between devices. META-X destroyed POD-X in one hit, causing POD-X to get injured lol. Tokomon looks so sad when injured!

I also learned from the manual that if you battle with a sick Digimon, you have a chance of making the other Digimon sick as well! Interesting ^^

I accidentally did training with POD-X (forgot which Digivice I was holding I guess XD) but still didn't get Effort up to 1 heart, so I'm good there. Just gotta remember to keep giving protein!! I did training with META-X until its Effort gauge was full, so I think with all these differences between the two, I will definitely get different evolutions, even without neglecting POD-X :)

I also made a video so you can see what it's like in action. Feeding, training, and quest battles (I lose XD)... you can see the face close-up during the training part:

Hopefully you can't hear my neighbors doing lawn work in the background XD

unknown.png

I looked up Puttimon online to see if I could find a picture of it, and here's one from the Digimon wiki. Isn't it adorable? I wish I could just keep that one instead of Tokomon:X (I discovered it wasn't Tokomon, but Tokomon:X lol... IDK if it was Puttimon:X or not XD)

I got META-X past Area-04 of the Quest, but in trying to clear Area-05, I got injured, so I decidedd to just leave him there for now. If they sleep for 12 hours (which I hope they do, like VB ) I will get an evolution tomorrow a little after noon.

OK I looked up the user manual on humulos to see if I could learn their sleep patterns (as their manuals tend to be more detailed than the packed-in ones, though I still am trying to avoid too much spoilers), and apparently Digimon can grow and evolve while asleep (!!) and they wake up at 7AM. Hoo boy. That means my Digimons are going to evolve in the middle of the night?! Do they have a silent mode? I want to take them to bed with me but if they're going to make a sound at like 1AM I don't want that XDD Plus IDK if I want these things beeping at me at 7AM... maybe I won't take them to bed with me... XD

unknown.png

I looked up Tokomon:X and apparently it looks like this! Way cooler than the original Tokomon! I like how its ear things make an X and I love that it's pink! So cute!!

ETA: Oh yeah, I got a random event where a present came on a balloon! Reminded me of Animal Crossing :)

Well, the Digimon evolved overnight. I heard their noises going off and it woke me up in the middle of the night lmao. But I was able to fall right back asleep. Then this morning I was able to check which Digimon they had evolved into!

unknown.png

META-X became Renamon:X ...

unknown.png

while POD-X became Gabumon:X !!

Renamon:X's level is 1 again and it has 0 EXP... so I guess your EXP and level reset when you evolve. But my progress in the Quest has remained; I'm still on Area 05.

And playing with the Digimon actually inspired me to get my VB back out!

I had actually lost the charger for it, so I stopped using it for a while... then when I finally found the charger I was out of the habit of exercising and just didn't bother to go back to it.

unknown.png

But now I'm back! To my surprise, my MegaSeadramon was still alive and ready to go on the device... I thought they died after 24 hours of not wearing the bracelet. Maybe it wasn't actually on with battery for 24 full hours...? But hey, my Digimon is still there and I can work on my next evolution right where I left off :) So I'm not gonna complain :)

I took a morning walk but it was way too hot outside so I only got a little over 2000 steps... maybe I'll do some step aerobics inside to get more steps in later. I kinda wanna aim for 5000 a day.

I've also gotten new DiM Cards since the last time I used it (I had ordered them and they just took like several months to arrive for whatever reason) so now I am wondering if I want to continue trying to get all the Infinite Tide Digimon, or if I want to try out one of the new cards. I got the Stingmon one which means I can get Wormmon, one of my favorite Digimon. (Though my favorite of all time is Kunemon, whom you can get on the v20 :) )

unknown.png

Here's my current DiM Card collection :)

Haha, that's great! Glad I could show off your favs ^_^

unknown.png

I got Gabumon:X to level 4, which seems to be the max for Rookie level. Once you hit max level, your EXP goes back to 0.

I started playing Quest mode with them and got them to Area 06, which unlocked evolutions ?03 and ?07.

Since you can unlock ?03 both before and after the Rookie stage, I'm guessing it's NOT a Rookie evolution, but rather one that you can evolve into down the line.

Today Renamon:X's daily XAI was 2 and quest XAI was 1... so I decided not to do battles with them today lmao.

I decided to train them both up as well as I can this time and see what I get. I did do some exercise today inside for about 30 minutes, and forgot to take my pets with me, so I ended up getting a care mistake on both Digimon :( I had already not really checked on them for a while, so they depleted all their Strength while I was exercising and I missed the call.

ETA: I just realized I haven't gotten any random events today. Or if I did, I missed them. I did get low XAI rolls on both (2 and 3) so maybe it greatly decreased the chance of random events and I just happened to miss the one(s) that DID happen? Though I was with my pets all day except for during my walk and during my exercise.

So, the Digis evolved in the middle of the night again, unexpectedly. I should have expected it as they evolve 24 hours after their previous evolution, so that would be the same time, next night... but I'm not used to this "grow and evolve during night" thing. But yeah, it startled me and woke me up. Also, yesterday I took them to bed as well and when I woke up early, I reached over to check one to check the time (I don't have a clock on my side of the room) and it made the XAI system go off which woke up my husband X_X;;; I think I will have to stop taking these guys to bed.

Anyway, POD-X became Rhinomon:X, a very cool looking Digimon:

unknown.png

I love how it seems to be wearing a helmet of some sort, very cool.

And then when I was taking a picture of META-X's new form, I caught it mid-poo.

Here's the struggle:

unknown.png

And the face of relief:

unknown.png

Hehehehe.

It looks like it has giant teeth. It's something called Sangloupmon (not X, just Sangloupmon...) which is a difficult name to remember lol.

Since they evolved, they're back to level 1 with 0 EXP... so I'll be training them up today and trying to clear more of the Quest battles. Now that they're Stage IV, it seems like to get to stage V, they'll need "special conditions" to evolve, so I'm just going to try to do my best and raise them up as much as I can. Raise them to max level, not get any care mistakes, max out their Effort meters, and clear as much Quest as I can. And hopefully I'll get a new evolution come tomorrow afternoon. It takes 36 hours to evolve now, so I should be getting my evolution in the afternoon instead of middle of the night, thankfully.

Both of them rolled 2 on their XAI for the day. I haven't started Quest mode so IDK what their rolls are like for that yet... let's go try...

META-X rolled a 3.

POD-X rolled a 2.

Hoo-boy, today is going to be a rough day for battles. But I'm gonna try anyway. Hopefully I'll get some good rolls on individual battles.

Also in the Quest battles I ran into these things called Sistermon which look like nuns. One of them has a gun. It's very odd/funny XD

Well, I tried to get as far as I could in Quest mode today with each Digimon. After 2 injuries each, I stopped battling, as I'm still avoiding spoilers, and in VB your Digimon can die if they get injured 3-4 times in one day. So I'm not risking it!!

Sangloupmon got to Level 5 with 730 EXP, and got to Area 12 in the Quest.

Rhinomon:X got to Level 4 with 640 EXP, and got to Area 11 in the Quest.

It's 9:40PM and they are still awake, so I'm guessing in this form they will go to bed at 10PM?

^ I typed this post last night but forgot to push "post" XD

So now it's morning. And to my surprise, the Digimon evolved again! I have no idea when, as they didn't wake me up in the night (they did wake me up at 7AM to do their XAI rolls though X_X)

unknown.png

META-X became Lucemon:CM. Not sure what CM means. Command Mission? Computer Module? Commercial? Hehehe it's a mystery.

Anyway, it looks like a little person with some kind of wings or something. And it hops and makes a happy face :) Very cute.

unknown.png

And POD-X became Crowmon. Not Crowmon:X or Crowmon:CM or Crowmon:Zippiteedooda, just Crowmon.

I've fought this one as a boss before and think it's pretty cool looking. So I was happy to get it as my evolution.

Gonna work on more Quest mode today and see how far I can get. We're at stage V of evolution now, and there's only 6 total (well, there's a VI+ or something, which I assume is really hard to get). So hopefully I can get a full evolution up to level VI! Other than that one care mistake, I haven't gotten any more, so we're doin' good B)

Oh I did get a 6 on each XAI roll for the day, so that's good. I already got like 3 or 4 random events, including two battles, one of each injured each Digimon so now I already have racked up an injury today :( But hopefully with the high XAI roll I'll do better in the Quest mode.

Let's see what we roll for Quest XAI today...

META-X rolled a 7!

POD-X rolled a 5

Looks like today we're going to have much better luck in Quest mode. At least I hope :)

Despite META-X's good rolls, they got injured right away. I decided to push my luck and see if you could get injured one more time. So far, I've discovered that you can get injured 3 times and not die XD

POD-X had a bit of a better time, really struggled to beat Area 11's boss, but didn't get injured much, eventually clearing even up through Area 13 (which unlocked evolution ?11). Finally they did take two more injuries as well, and I decided to stop them there for today.

META-X got to level 3 and Area 12

POD-X got to level 5 and Area 14

As far as I can tell, the only thing your EXP Level does is increase the size of the areas where you can stop the cursor to power up your Digimon before the fights. Like the "tip" area was only 2 pixels wide at first but after leveling up it grew to 3-4 pixels wide, making it easier to hit the highest level.

And with that, they are going to retire for the day. Just going to clean up poops and feed and stuff, but no more battling.

unknown.png

Also I love Crowmon's "yelling" face XD

I cleared Area 14 through 20 with Crowmon today, unlocking evolutions ?15, ?20, ?18, and ?21.

Today my rolls were high so I was able to pass a lot of Quest battles with little injury. In fact, I didn't even get to 3 injuries per Digimon, I just kinda got bored of doing Quest mode hahaha. I might do a little more later but I was kinda tired so I took a nap instead of continuing XD

ETA: Oh yeah, I got POD-X (Crowmon) to level 8, which seems to be max level for this stage :) META-X (Lucemon:CM) is only level 7.

The industrial area of the Quest Mode:

unknown.png

Reminds me of the Wily Castle from Mega Man 2:

unknown.png

I think it's the angle of the building and the style of the shadow around the outside XD

Also in Quest battles sometimes I fight this little guy:

unknown.png

Who is super cute!

I want to raise it on mine xD It's never been the boss so I don't know its name. But it is pretty strong for how tiny it is!

In my VB, I got MetalSeadramon, finishing up another evolution I needed for my Infinite Tide Digidex. I'm almost done with this one!

Screenshot_20220515-133022_VB_Lab.jpg

I let my husband pick the next DiM Card I used (just based on the colors of the cards, he has no idea what Digimon are other than vpets that poop) and he picked Hermit in the Jungle. So now I have a cute little Palmon on my bracelet. I think I'm gonna go for Sunflowmon->JewelBeemon->Rafflesimon this time :) But I might have to hold off the evolution of Palmon since I won't be able to accumulate enough trophies to get Sunflowmon in one day, unless I do a special mission... maybe I'll consider that tomorrow :p But that means exercise lol. I'm fine doing the Hard Missions or whatever because that's only like 5 minutes of exercise a day, but the special missions are an hour XD That's a lot of working out for someone who is out of shape!

unknown.png

I woke up to new evolutions today!

META-X grew into MaloMyotismon (NGL, the "Malo" makes me think "Marshmallow" even though I'm guessing it's supposed to be based on the Spanish word?). Also why are their names so long like this :,) Anyway, I think this one is pretty cool looking.

POD-X grew into Valdurmon. Not as cute as Crowmon, but I can still appreciate the screaming face.

And now our levels are back down to 1 with 0 EXP T_T I feel like I've lost so much progress hahahah.

But we've made it to stage VI! The only thing left is VI+!!

Our max level is now 10 according to the manual, and we finally have 4 hearts for hunger and strength. It's been quite a journey getting here! I'm surprised the Digimon evolve so fast... Compared to the Tamagotchi I'm raising who seem so slow in comparison hahaha. The little guys are only 5 years old and already on stage VI of evolution. That's a bit crazy!!

unknown.png

Today I forgot to check up on POD-X for a while (I checked on META-X so idk what was wrong with me XD) and it had pooped six poos... and four of them turned into one giant poo! I was definitely shocked (and amused) to see this hahahaha.

POD-X also rolled a 1 on its daily XAI, and I could really feel that in the missions. He couldn't even clear a single Quest!! I stopped after 3 injuries, and I only even got to the boss once.

META-X on the other hand cleared all the way through Area 30 (rolled a 7 on the daily!). After that, it prompted me to play Area 30 again. I wasn't sure if maybe I pressed a wrong button so I cycled to the next area and it was called Area SP. I got to the boss but lost there, and accrued my third injury for the day, so I decided to stop. I did unlock an evolution after clearing Area 30, though! I didn't keep track of which evolution numbers I got today, however.

It's either the XAI rolls or just MaloMyotismon is way stronger than Valdurmon. Not sure, but I'm thinking it's the rolls...

So tomorrow I'll try to beat Area SP. Maybe that's the key to unlocking the stage VI+ evolution...?

Ummmmm so I stayed up late to put the Digimon to bed... and then they didn't go to bed. At this evolution level do they stay up until midnight or something?! I'm not sure if I want to just give up and go to bed and take the care mistake, put them in the fridge and pause their progress until tomorrow, or force myself awake for another hour lol.

I also forgot to say that META-X got to level 10 (max level) today, while POD-X was only able to make it to level 4.

So I ended up putting them in the fridge... it made it so they didn't get new XAI rerolls for the day so I worry they also don't renew their number of injuries for the day (if that's even a thing, still playing blind XD) so I didn't do much with them today. I'm going to let them accrue a care mistake so I can go to bed tonight XD

So, I left them on over night and just took the care mistake for not putting them to bed. Then I woke up late and their hearts were totally depleted. Since they deplete at different rates, I'm going to assume that I got 2 care mistakes over that. Then while I was preparing food I heard them beep for me... when I picked one up, the call icon disappeared and it started dying T_T They both died at the same time. The dying sound is very noisy just like the v20s.

They both left behind a sparkly egg. I haven't hatched them yet. Gonna spoil myself and read up on the device on humulos before taking the next step. The journey was a fun one; I'm sad they had to go so soon!

Reading through the advanced manual on humulos, I've learned several things:

  • Digimon's power and HP do indeed raise through level up
  • There's apparently a long written story that goes along with the devices...?!
  • There are 30 different evolutions possible to unlock. I've unlocked 28 of them (a lot of them are unlocked from the start).
  • Rolling low Quest XAI increases the amount of EXP you get from enemies that day
  • Allowed mistakes are not tied to days, but to evolutionary stages. You can accumulate 19 injuries per evo before the Digimon dies on the 20th!
  • 20 care mistakes are allowed per form... except when you get to the end -- at Stage VI it seems you can only get 5.
  • XAI ("X-Antibody Indicator") is a play on the word 采 (sai, meaning dice)
  • You can save your Digimon from death by mashing the A or B button while it is dying!! Successfully pressing the button 100 times before it dies will rescue it. If only I had known!
  • Getting a "Traited Egg" (the sparkly egg that appears after death if you did good) makes your new Digimon minimum level 3 at every evo!
I want to start again, but my Digimon will immediately fall asleep, so I'm going to wait until tomorrow to restart them.

Looking at the evolution chart, MaloMyotismon (META-X) could have evolved into Diablomon:X if I had gotten 0 care mistakes (the other requirements were to clear Quest 30 and be level 10, which I had met). Valdurmon (POD-X) was at its final stage of evolution as it had no paths into a Stage VI+ Digimon (at least not that I had unlocked).

?29 and ?30 seem to be locked behind clearing Area SP and getting a special random encounter. Not sure how to trigger it (I mean, it's random, so... I guess just hope XD)

As for what evolutions I actually got:

Effort was the deciding factor between whether I got Renamon:X/Dracomon:X or Agumon:X/Gabumon:X. Since I did fill the Effort meter on POD-X, I ended up with Gabumon:X, and since I did fill it with META-X, I got Renamon:X. There's also an evolution for getting 2+ care mistakes on each. So since I did the Effort meters differently, I got two different "paths," even though all three evolutions are different for either version of the device.

Renamon:X could have evolved to Leomon:X, as the requirements are to have 0-2 care mistakes and a full Effort meter, but you have to first unlock the evolution by clearing Quest Area 05, which I guess we hadn't done by that point. With 3+ care mistakes, Renamon:X becomes Damemon. But with neither of the other two conditions met, it becomes Sangloupmon.

Gabumon:X's "best" evolution didn't need to be unlocked, and with 0-2 care mistakes and 2+ Effort, we were able to evolve into Rhinomon:X. Similarly to Renamon:X, we could have gotten Damemon with 3+ care mistakes, and with neither of the other two being unlocked, we would have ended up with Tobucatmon.

The evolutions after that get even more complex and I'm not going to go into them :) But it's quite interesting all the possibilities...

The next goal is to start filling that Library!! My next time through, I'm going to try to get my favorite possible evolution at each stage (not aiming for a specific end stage, but just checking the stage I'm currently on and deciding my favorite out of the next set) without getting ones I've gotten before. So let's see what our evolution goals will be...

Puttimon always evolves to Tokomon:X, then after that, there are three possible Stage III evolutions.

META-X Evolution Path

Tokomon:X can evolve into Renamon:X, Agumon:X, or Herissmon. I've already gotten Renamon:X, so it's between Agumon:X and Herissmon. I played a little bit of Digimon Re:Arise and Herissmon was very cute. Agumon is a classic, but I think I like Herissmon a little more. He's a little cuter. Agumon is iconic but he's never been my favorite. I'm sad we can't get some of the other Adventure kids' Digimon like Tentomon or Piyomon. At least we can get Palmon on the Vital Bracelet!

From there, Herissmon has three paths. One is Sangloupmon, so we're not gonna go for that one. Other than that, we have Damemon on the "bad" path, and Tyrannomon:X on the "good" path. Tyrannomon:X is kind of generic looking, so I think I'm going to go with Damemon for stage IV.

For Stage V, we have access again to Lucemon:CM (which I found stages for Chaos Mode). We've gotten that one, so we're now choosing between Cerberumon or SkullBaluchimon. Cerberumon's little sprite is a little more boring looking, so we're going to go with SkullBaluchimon. This is again the "bad" path, so we're going to be able to pretty much neglect META-X it seems. Let's see what we can do for Stage VI...

The chart becomes hard to read at this point because there's so many branches to and from stages VI and V. This is also our first opporunity to fail evolution, so we could possibly get nothing if we get 4 or more care mistakes at this point. Got to make sure to start paying attention once we get here...! Our options are Sleipmon:X (very cool!), Sakuyamon:X (cool, but vpet sprite is a little dull), Valdurmon (we already got this one), and PlatinumNumemon (ok, I have a soft spot for Numemons, and this one has wings!) It's a little hard to choose between Sleipmon:X who has a great looking sprite on the vpet, or PlatinumNumemon who is absolutely adorable. I love the Numemon eyes on the vpets! I could continue my path of getting the "bad" evolutions and go with PlatinumNumemon... or I could try to turn everything around and get a difficult evolution, Sleipmon:X!! I think completely turning everything around sounds fun, so let's go for that!!

After that, we have the ability to get the super-cool Stage VI+ Digimon, Alphamon! If we manage to unlock ?29, we can also get Minervamon. If we unlock Minervamon, we'll go for it, if not, we'll go for Alphamon :)

POD-X Evolution Path

Tokomon:X can evolve into Dracomon:X, Gabumon:X, or Sistermon Blanc. I don't particularly like the Sistermons, though if it was the one with the gun I might go for it just because it's funny. But Sistermon Blanc has a trident. Polearms are cool but... I just am not a huge fan of the ones that just look like humans. Gabumon:X is probably my favorite of the three, but since we already got him, it looks like our decision has landed on Dracomon:X, who is just okay.

Dracomon:X has three paths. One is Sistermon Ciel, and I've already established I'm not a fan of Sistermons, and another one is Damemon, whom we're already going for on META-X. So our decision is kinda locked in at the other path, Growlmon:X. Another just okay Digimon.

Coming from Growlmon:X into Stage V we have a few interesting options. There's WarGrowlmon:X who is really cool looking in its vpet sprite. Then there's Cho-Hakkaimon who I thought looked silly and cute from the vpet sprite, but looking at the official artwork, it's like... a girl in a metal pig suit...? Super weird and kinda dumb looking. Then we have MetalTyrannomon:X who isn't bad looking but not nearly as cool as WarGrowlmon:X. Then there's Crowmon, whom we've already acquired. So it looks like we're going to go with WarGrowlmon:X here.

For our Stage VI, we have Craniummon:X, Megidramon:X, Jesmon:X, MaloMyotismon, and again PlatinumNumemon. We've already gotten MaloMyotismon, but the other four are all pretty appealing. I think I'm going to pull the opposite of META-X here -- we've been getting the 'good' evolutions so far, so let's turn it around and get PlatinumNumemon!

From there on, our only option is to get Omnimon:X as our Stage VI+.

And that's the plan :) We'll start on that adventure tomorrow ^^

Well I restarted this morning (well, it was barely still morning, I think it was creeping on noon XD) and got lots of intentional care mistakes on META-X. But then I got wrapped up playing Agarest and accidentally got at least one care mistake on POD-X, probably two. Hopefully I didn't get 3 or I'll be getting a different evolution than planned... need to be more careful. This is why I don't have real pets XD

Sooo I woke up late and got too many care mistakes, so POD-X turned into the Sistermon thing :( Then I was kinda having bad mental health days in general and hardly paid mind to the Digimons.

So now we have two Damemons lol. At least they are cute?

IDK, I am kinda over caring for them for now (not feeling so well). But I feel bad just leaving them to die, so I'll at least provide minimal care to them until they die naturally at stage V or whatever.

I have bipolar disorder so falling into a funk like this isn't uncommon :) No need to worry about me, I'll work on it and it shall pass like always.

Oh and don't let anyone fool you into thinking Digis are easier to take care of than Tamas. Digis poop more and drain hearts much faster. The boys (Maynard and Blaise) are doing just fine because they hardly ask for anything and are easy to take care of. For some reason I don't feel so dejected about taking care of them.

It would be a completely different story if I could take the Digimons to bed... but they make noises in the middle of the night and early morning as they evolve while sleeping and roll their XAI at 7AM every day. It disturbs my husband. Personally I don't mind it myself, and it would actually be something motivating it get me moving and out of bed when getting out of bed is hard, but the constant night-time noises are a big no for this house. I still take the Tamas to bed as they don't wake up til 11AM and those give me a reason to get out of bed (I put them far enough away that I have to actually sit up and reach far for them, which is usually enough to convince me to get dressed at least), as they're right next to my clothes I lay out.
