hey everyone!
So, as some of you may know, a recently joined tamatalk and I want to become a collector with a fairly large amount of tamagotchis. (Idk if the plural of tamagotchi is tamagotchis)

I decided that it was time I got a new tamagotchi! I currently have a pix, a gen 2, and an off brand tamagotchi.

My question to the tamagotchi community is, which tamagotchi should I get next?

I know that most of the time it is based or personal preference, so I’ll tell you guys some of my preferences on tamagotchis.

I get bored very easily with tamagotchis and I already have a relatively basic one (gen 2). I don’t mind if it isn’t in colour as long is it has longs of details and interesting things to do. It doesn’t HAVE to connect to other tamagotchis but I don’t mind if it does. Genetics and breeding isn’t mandatory either but I don’t mind if it had to do with marrying, breeding, etc. Overall, I’m really just looking for any tamagotchi that has interesting gameplay and is different from the ones I already have.

Still reading? Thanks! It would be appreciated if you gave me your opinion on which tamagotchi I get next!

Hmmm, going off of this there's a decent list, what's your budget for a new tama?
I've been working my way through the On and there's SO much to unlock(and vlogging it). But they're stupidly expensive.

Also, if you're into Bandai made vpets in general, digimon are a great option! The DM20ths and DMX devices all have a decent amount to do(you can run 2 pets simultaneously), and there's a LOAD of characters to get, and getting certain characters can unlock other characters.

Also, you could opt for a hard to hard one in general. Simple but challenging; I think the forest/morino and umino/ocean tamagotchi are among the most challenging out there.

If you get tired of them quickly, I wouldn't recommend an expensive one like the On, unless you really like your Pix and think you'd play with it enough to warrant the cost. Though I think the Ons make good collectors' items.

Osu/Mesu are my current favorites and I can recommend them highly, but they're meant for long-term play as you'll be going for multiple generations, so maybe not so much in the way of your interest as you'd probably burn out quickly.

The Hello Kitty and Pac-Man Nanos are inexpensive and pretty simple to play with. The minigames are pretty fun and they're incredibly easy to raise. You can basically ignore them for a whole day and they'll still be fine LOL

Though at the same time Osu/Mesu and the Nanos have many similarities to the P2 so you might tire of them faster.

Bentobuff actually has the better suggestions, though. If you're willing to go the Digimon route, they are VERY fun. If you're going to tire quickly of them, I think the Digimon X is a little better choice than the Digimon v20, from my experience. I highly recommend either one, though. I have 6 v20's and 2 X's and I love them all. Just be ready to clean up poop because the little buggers poop a LOT.

The Mori de Hakken and Umi de Hakken are also good choices from Bentobuff. They are difficult and different enough from the P2 to feel like a unique experience. I personally recommend the Morino but that's because I love bugs. The temperature system is interesting and it's quite difficult to keep your cocoon alive into an adult stage!

The Connection series are probably a great choice, too, as they have a lot more to do than a P2, but sadly I don't have a lot of experience with them, so it's hard to recommend them personally. I had a V3 when I was in college but I don't remember it too well.

(Also, as for the plural, I think it's probably "Tamagotchi" since it's a Japanese word, but I personally like adding the "s" on there just because it sounds better to me.)

Thank you both for the suggestions! I think I will get the On because I do quite like my Pix and I do think that the On would be worth the money after I did further research. I will also possibly get a Digimon, not sure which Digimon version I will get but I will do some more research on it. Thank you again for the well written responses!
Also thanks KuchipatchiPod for letting me know about the plural of tamagotchi. I thought the same thing as well, that it was tamagotchi as plural but tamagotchis just sounds better lol. :ichigotchi:
