My friend owns a Tamagotchi and she dropped it on the floor. When she picked it back up she told me that the outer screen had popped out a bit and now she can't push the left button on the Tamagotchi. We tried pushing the outer screen back in but it had little nubs that held it outside the Tamagotchi. The middle and right buttons still work, but she told me it would be pretty hard to actually play without the left button. She can't really play now and she isn't exactly happy about it. Is there a way to fix it without resetting it? She wants to keep her progress. Thanks.

From how it was described, it sounds like it got stuck cockeyed. It SHOULD be able to angle and go freely, but if not, they won't be at risk of damaging the internal components if they use a bit more force once disassembled

Absolutely! Though, my guess is that this particular unit may not have been assembled correctly to begin with, and this just went unnoticed until the device was dropped - I can't imagine the force from the drop being enough to force those tabs out from their intended position on the inside.
