Hello, everyone!
My name's Cristell, but you might now want to call me OldButt, or ButtNew, all sound quite special to me either way.
When I was around 11 or 12 years old my dad started to gift me a number of Tamagotchi for different birthdays and Christmasses, I used to take them everywhere with me, and tried my best to nurture them into the ungrateful little avatars that usually graced me with their existence. A few days ago I found a couple of them, and I have bought them New Batteries, for old times sake. I just read about someone saying that you can Download when the Egg appears on-screen, and your old process might be saved. I'm quite curious to what childhood trauma I might have unleashed upon my Tamagotchi. Was I a good Tama-mother? Did I find them a nice job? Did I manage to settle them down to have at least 3 generations of progeny? Did 12-year-old-me damnn them to live in perpetual misery? Let's find out.
Of the Tamagotchi I used to own when I was younger, I only found 2 survivors: A Tamagotchi Connection v4.5 in a clear yellow case with purple and orange-ish stripes, and a cutesy blue antenna; and a Tamagotchi Connection v.5.5 in a dark blue case with a movies-and-popcorn theme and a red roof-like antenna. I also used to own a tiny tiny clear-case green Tamagotchi I found with a friend at a Sanborns some years ago, unfortunately I moved and she won the custody of our very dear Rufino Tamagotchi.

I'll attach pictures of all three Tamagotchi.

I truly don't really know the real versions those Tamagotchi are, I looked it up on the internet, so if you have more information on them, feel free to leave a comment!

Peace out,
Criswiththebutt

P.S.:Guess which one was the favored child.
P.S.S:What's the plural of Tamagotchi?

Soooo...
It's been like a month, I guess. And, boy, it's been a ride.
I didn't know that mantaining two tamagotchi at the same time could be so... erratic. I've had two different opinions on both versions. Let's star with the one I've liked the least: The version 5.5. Let's keep in mind that I chose the Download option when I put in the New Batteries.

V5.5 experience: It's an alright version. It has quite some good story telling aspects on the long run, if you're into that kind of gameplay. Some of the games where a little too difficult to understand at first, but nothing a nice googling sesion couldn't fix; I found myself a little bored of the games after a while, though. Maybe it was because its screen was so faint I could barely visualise the more clear images, or maybe it was because I had the more-exciting v4.5 to compare to, but I grew quite exasperated with it. Who would've guessed that a faint screen would be the reason for me to constantly send the children to the Traveling Chanel. I've recently decided to let them rest for a while and take their batteries out so they can rest. In this tamagotchi I found I had only a first ganeration family in the child stage; I managed to bring them into a second generation, but I grew a little bored with it. I also had a hard time finding codes for this version, I had to download a programm to generate codes.

V4.5 experience: I actually LOVED this version. I had forgotten how dynamic this one was. I find it more personalized and fun. I enjoy the Training system, getting mail, and sending my tama to get a job according to his stats. The games were fun and not too hard to understand and codes where easier to find than with the v5.5. One of the dowsides of it was the matchmaker options were very limited, it often offered me to marry my tama with the same option tama. In this version I already had a 3rd Generation Ura Mametchi, whose parent's a 11y old Ura Mametchi and whose grandmother's a 9y old Tsukkomitchi. I have a Celebtchi logged into the History Tag, but I have no Idea how it relates to my tamagotchi. I have six Friends logged, but I'm not quite sure if those are friends I connected with, or past tamas I had. I exploited my UraMame as a Singer once I could chose a Job and enjoyed the game you could play when you sent your tama to work. I tried to watch his weight and cared for him carefully so I could play wth him longer, up to the point where I became my worst nightmare: a complete airplane parent. Poor Mike(My Uratama's name) had to suffer my quarrels with the ever persistent Matchmaker that started to frequent us each day more often than before. I had NO IDEA how the marriage system worked on this version, or how old a Tama could marry before ending their whole lineage, so my aversion to something less than PERFECTION for my lil' dear boopsie boo meant that he evolved spouse-less and childless... bringing his whole dynasty down with him. So now I STILL have a lonely and sad Ojitchi, childless and unemployed thanks to the retirement from work that had been forced upon him by His Royal Highness the Tamaking himself. Each day of retirement seems more bleak than the other, but still, my deeply traumatized and probably bitter Mike persists. I like to think of him as That One superstar fallen from grace, whose parent bullied him into perfection and whose career manager controlled and pressured him to the point of breaking down on mainstreet in a fit of unresolved inner stress. I think he's looking to healing his innerself; he often receives hate mail, but I make sure his happiness fills completely afterwards. I force him to call his parents frequently, because I LOVE using the Phone Item, hehe. He's 36y old as of today.

Well, now that we are at it...

TinyTAN Tamagotchi experience: On January the second I had the joy of adding one more digit to the repertoire of age dates on my back, and I found myself pleasantly surprised by my sister, who had noticed my recent obsession with Tamagotchi and gifted my a TinyTAN tamagotchi. I love her so much.

It is the purple case version, with a BTS logo, a sprinkle of tiny tiny stars and TiNYTAN stamped on the front. There's very little to do with it, with only two mini(very, very mini) games and a single item in Food and Sweets to feed them. Other than them evolving into various outfits, and a few animations throught the day, they don't do much. They don't even poop. Even my Rufino Tamagotchi pooped every once in a while. Another downside I found was the long waiting period for the tinytan to "Open the door"; I tried cleaning the door, playing relentlessly the ONLY opening game and knocking on the door to no avail. So after I waited TWO WHOLE HOURS for one of the members to come out, member V opened the door and let me into his very leisure lifestyle. I guess it's to be considered more as a Collector's Toy, than a fun one, so it's okay. Some people might want to use BTS' hype as a point to oversell them, so be careful folks. I like BTS and have been following(sometimes embarrasingly so) for almost their whole careers, so I kind of love this Tamagotchi, but it might not be the best first experience for a first-time buyer looking to have lots of interaction with their virtual pet.

Now, without further ado, I bid all of you farewell, and wish for you to experience joy, love and have lots of prosperity on this new year 2023! Stay safe and drink lots of water <3

Until the next time,
Cris
