Hey guys, so my experience as a kid really was only with the Connection tamagotchis, especially V2-V4. Since then I’ve looked a lot at the gens before like the very first classic tamagotchi, Angelgotchi etc. And the nanos. But looking into anything around +color makes my head spin a bit tbh. I’m not sure why honestly. But does anyone who collects the newer colour tamas have any opinions on which are the best and why? For my first I kinda want to get the +colour since I saw it as a kid and wanted it but never got it, but outside of that, I honestly am not too sure what colour tamas I’d want to collect. I’ve seen really mixed opinions on the Pix, and a lot of glowing reviews of the On. Does anyone have any takes as to which they think are best and worst, and why? I’m really curious to hear what people think.

Just like you, my first Tamagotchi ever was a connection V3.

I was a connection fan and didn’t really keep up with them until 2016 I realized that they have colored ones! I was overwhelmed with how many they are and what features each version have.

It really depends on your taste and what do you feel like running sometimes. :rolleyes2:

Based on my experience, if you want a quick fun run for less than a week then I would suggest playing the m!x/ON/Meets (btw the ON and the Meets are exactly the same except the language).

If you are looking for a Tamagotchi where you want to spend some time taking care of it and improve it's personality and skills you might consider getting: Pix/P’s/iDL

Of course there are plenty of other colored versions: +Color, Smart, iD and 4U.

I’m sure so many people have tried the others and hopefully they can help you with that too. happy2

Ooooh interesting! Thank-you, this is really helpful especially the stuff about what’s a quick fun run and what’s a little harder, it’s much appreciated :)

So as someone who mostly used the vintage P1 and P2 models, and jumped back into the Tamagotchi scene recently…I will say this about the Pix. It was everything I expected from a modern Tamagotchi in a good way.

From what I am used to, the Pix expanded on the core aspects of what started it all. With care and bonding being at the forefront, it felt like a very natural advancement with a lot of great stuff to offer.

All in all, I am very satisfied with it and my two daughters love their Party Pix I got them too. I think most people with negative things to say might just miss some of the other side aspects from the ON/Meets such as breeding unique tamas and the like, or they just had a problem with the touch buttons on the wave 1 Pix (has been fixed with the Wave 2 and Party models).

Interesting! Yeah that’s really interesting, I’ve mostly seen negative stuff on the Pix so hearing someone who’s very positive on it instead is cool. Glad I asked this question.

The pix looks amazing to me personally. It’s shell design is really nice and sleek. I think I’d probably want to get a +Color, On, and a Pix definitely for my modern collection. That might be a nice neat little mix of tamas :)

I love ALL Tamagotchi models. But I have to say the original connections that aren’t color are my favorite. Especially v3!! However, since you do want to know about the color Models I love my Tamagotchi Smart!!!! So much! You can change a lot getting the Tamasmart cards. And new ones come out every so often. There’s alot of smart cards you can get!!! Plus it already has so much free items on it already :) second I would say my next favorite was the Tamagotchi Meets/On. I have the Magical White Edition. Third would be Tamagotchi Pix for me (however this could be due to the fact that I am so use to older elements and also the fact I recieved my Smart not that long after I purchased the Pix). I still love it. I’ll always love any Tamagotchi. Last place for me would have to be the 4U and the 4U Plus. It was so hard to get items.

I’m very sad they closed the Tamagotchi APP. So if you are getting a Tamagotchi Meets for that, don’t bother as you won’t be able to connect it for friends or items anymore. Which sucks completely!!

Happy Tama-hatching!!!
