i think that is what i have the p2 version. now it is 25 years old, it seems that its happy and hungry meters going down really fast, like 4 stars in one hour. i have to constantly feed and play with it now. i suppose that it is normal? how long can it live? forever?

i have this old tamagotchi, i have tried old and new batteries, but it only pops a mosaic egg, pumping itself up and down forever. i tried to reset, it just pops up another new egg. i can't even reset the time. i think that it is broken. i wonder how other tamagotchi toys eventually stop...

yea, great. i actually found a real tamagotchi first generation at home today. so i put in two old batteries inside, a mosaic looking egg appeared on screen. then it just moves up and down for the last few hours. i tried to reset twice, it just doesn't hatch. and i tried to press buttons...

do they just die all of sudden, or die at a certain time, or die after you press buttons to check its status?

do they die differently in different versions? what does it show on the screen?

i have played with a pocket puppy. at the night after it went to sleep, when i pressed those button again, a puppy face showed on the screen, then game is over. i have the virtual dinosaur, on day 12, one hour before its sleeping time, when i pressed the buttons, all of sudden, it is dead. so...

since they can do so many things, i suppose that you will have to spend more time with it? how much more time?
