There's a patch to keep pierce data even after removing the pierce, if you're interested in doing that.

I definitely recommend finding an old phone with infrared. The Nokia I picked up cheap works perfectly. I've heard a lot of people have had issues trying to use IrDA USB devices.

I have a wall display with a glass door on it. Some acrylic challenge coin stands work well for the non-color tamas that are thin enough. A tiny bit of modeling clay could work for a balancing stand for the others.

I used tips from previous people who have removed the clear plastic faceplate and was able to get that piece off. Then I used the original design as a stencil; it comes right off the tama like a loose piece of paper. It took probably 5 minutes to trace the stencil onto the printed bubbles image...

I hear ya. I am waiting for the 4th patch before starting to play my modded white P's too. Also, I bought a pink P's for my son's babysitter. She's only 16ish but loves 90's stuff. I want to put the 4th patch on it before I give it to her.
