I got my rainbow/white 20th anniversary for $50, but proxied it over with an aibo and a bunch of other random crap. I don't know how much shipping would cost for a tamagotchi alone, but DHL is usually pretty cheap. EMS is fast, but only worthwhile for large items. Most cost $80+ on ebay though...

I haven't heard this before, but have only gotten to gen 7. One I get to 9, I will see what happens, but I like the combination characters because each is unique, even siblings.

I don't know if they still sell in stores, but I've bought all three of mine, including a 20th anniversary, from Yahoo Japan using a proxy. If you want a m!x, this is a good way to go. I proxy a lot of random things from Japan.
