20th Anniversary Digimon Battery Reset

Does the data reset after you replace the batteries on a 20th anniversary Digimon? I looked around online and couldn't find an answer to this. The batteries on mine unexpectedly died today, I'm pretty disappointed because the monsters I had on it are pretty old and I'm hoping I can save them.

I ran mine recently and can confirm that data is retained, similarly to the Tamagotchi Connection line. However, I don't know how this applies to monsters that were still in the middle of being raised!

They do get set back a bit. If memory serves it's the last time they woke up, got sick, digivolved, etc. So you'll lose a few hours but nothing too intense.
It's tough when trying to get a specific character, you lose where you get training, care misses, etc, since the device doesn't show you the count.
