Faulty Gigapet?

Hi

I just registered. Got back into collecting tamagotchi’s and other virtual pets a few months back.

Anyway I got the new gigapet ar shipped from the US to UK and having a issue.

issue is that it keeps going to sleep and staying like that for hours on end, it went to sleep at 12pm and it’s now 2:08pm and it’s still asleep. 
 

should it sleep this long or is there a fault in it? It wakes up if you press a button then after 15 minutes I look and it’s asleep again. Doesn’t even highlight the sleep notification either. 
 

The time is set correctly too.

According to part of the FAQ on the official GigaPetsAR website (specifically the question "Why does my pet keeps saying he wants something but refuses do anything?"), these guys need to take a nap three times a day - could that be what's happening here?

It is a bit surprising though- or maybe you accidentally set it to 2:08 AM instead of PM?
