I managed to bug my American P1...

So upon weirdly timed battery insertion, I managed to bug the heck outta my American P1. Started by letting me set the time with the hour as 0:xx, which then the egg screen was just forced lights out dark.  Then when it "hatched", the character is literally sleeping stardust...

I've never seen this before, or any significant bug like this for that matter!

Cool! I recognize the stardust from the death screen. Pulling the batteries in and out tends to cause vintage tamas to load data and graphics improperly. It's usually all resolved with the reset button.

Yup! And, just to add this for everyone's reference, this is why the instructions for these devices (and similar ones) recommend pressing the reset button after installing new batteries.
