Japanese secret characters P1 and P2

Hi!

I'm 26 and I bought one P1 and one P2 tamagotchis in the 90s. A few years later I bought some tamagotchi connections but my prefer tamagotchis have been always the ancestors. So I bought some P1 and P2 european/american and japanese tamagotchis more (I would like also to buy angelgotchi,devilgotchi, etc.).

I have a doubt. I remember to get the european/american secret characters you have to give all the discipline and perfect care to Maskutchi/Zuccitchi. But i read to get the japanese secret characters you have to give all the discipline but bad care to Maskutchi/Zuccitchi. Is this true?
