Good morning me of the past, it’s me, Lainey Cassels from the year 2023. I hope ur doing ok. All of that aside, Candy PakuPaku’s story was an absolute banger for middle school me! The abundance of symbolism using rice and bread was just the greatest thing for me in the pandemic, and me 3 years later. I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since I last read this piece of ✨literary gold✨. Even as a high schooler this still feels like a delight to read. I also liked PakuPaku’s character in that fanfic as well, the crossbody bag being able to multiply stuff you put inside, her endless curiosity being so big that she ends up wishing to be tiny to see what’s in the bag, and the feel of it all feels like something I would read if I wanted to make an essay about it. So, yes, you’re very much right, me of the past, I could imagine a musical being produced on broadway because of this.
