A couple of years ago, I posted this thread hoping to make an LED bulb light up when the Tamagotchi made a sound. Since I finally had more time (after graduating from university) I came back to this idea and made my first attempt at it.
Firstly I bought some tiny LED bulbs
from eBay and a soldering kit.
My "common" sense mind thought that if I just solder this bulb to where the speaker is now (obviously with the positive and negatives being correct) it would work...and of course, it didn't! The Tamagotchi wouldn't turn on and I have no idea why?
So I'm back here hoping anyone knows how to help and also to show that this didn't work so that no one else should try it.
