I ordered a vintage digital doggie. Not sure why when there's a perfectly good modern re-issue, I guess I just liked that translucent shell, and because I also had one when I was a kid... when I got it, the pixels were super faded, I have to tilt it back quite a bit to see anything. I also got a floppy frog, vintage because they've not yet remade floppy frog. Well it's the same story, super faded pixels, and this one doesn't make any sound at all.
I'm actually having a devil of a time getting the screws out, they don't want to budge at all. But is there any known fixes for these issues? Like would a fresh coat of solder on the speaker wire and a new coat of polarizing film fix this?
