Tamagotchi Connection Keeps Turning Off

Hi everyone!
I just got this tamagotchi as a gift for my boyfriend’s niece but the screen keeps turning off after a few seconds. I’ve reset it and it still does the same thing. I’ll attach a video of what’s happening. The listing stated it was tested and working but clearly it wasn’t. Is this fixable? The battery I tested it with was brand new and the same ones I’ve been using in all my other tamas.

Hello! You need to open the tamagotchi and change a piece that looks like a small silver battery (crystal oscillator, 2x6, 32.768KHZ).
