when the matchmaker appears on your tamagotchi press yes the 1st time if u want a boy press yes the 2nd time if u want a girl.

maggieatthemall means, if you say yes the first time the matchmaker comes and asks "Love?" then it will be a boy, if you say yes the second time the matchmaker comes with a mate then it will be a girl. Now that I think about it.... it was the second time that I said yes (and I got a girl!). I think this is true!!

yes of course it has to be an adult to have the matchmaker come

an easier way is when ur tamagothci is 7 or 8 and the matchmaker comes the first time or whatever and when it says 'love' say yes then u'll see your tamagothci and the tamagothci that u will 'love' while they r 'kissing'(preferablly to say they r hitting heads

) and the lights turn off

press button 'a' for girl and button 'b' for boy. it worked for me everytime i tried it so it's not ladies luck

I know how that feels... once on my V1 I got boys for five generations in a row!

BTW this is how to get the gender you want:

When the Matchmaker comes, and you want one that is the same gender as your current one, press "A" to see the mate. Otherwise, press "B". Or is it the other way around?... I forget.

wow! that helps. now i know for next time. because i have boys for the ;past 8 generations! and just this time it was a girl. IT WORKS. mnie is on 18 generation
