It's the first way. You only need to use one love potion. But both tamas have to be adult for at least 24 hours if you want them to mate right away. Only adults can use it (teens can't). And it doesn't matter if you're selecting GAME, VISIT, or PRESENT.

Feed it some snack, then play games. I normally feed it once or twice a snack if it's not happy, then I play games with it. It also gets happy when you use PLANT, SHOVEL, LAMP, CHEST or FISHINGROD and it you get something good.

It hink when you're an adult they're not letting you visit GANDPARENTS anymore. Or that they erased it from the list.

What does that mean?

Open the back of your tama. Take the batteris out. There'll be a new backpiece. Unscrew those. There'll be this paper dot and on top of it says DEBUG. Mark this with a pencil (some people say color it). Put everything back together.

Just click log out. The password they gave you is something that you you can punch in the Password section of Items or the Nintendo DS Corner Shop or something like that. That has nothing to do with logging out.
