I have to agree with you Sakura. I don't think the size is a serious issue, it's just a change. I think they needed to try something different and the collectable cute figures was a really good one.
I really want to get more figures from eBay or something (they are not for sale in the UK) but...
Always refreshing to see some guys on threads like this. I'm a male tama oldie and have recently 'rediscovered' them.
I admit I wouldn't tell some people about my interest in tamas as they would not understand. For me it's a mixture of facination with 'gadgets', electronic toys and Japanese...
With so many hard-core fans importing Tama's straight from Japan these days, have any of you been inspired to learn some Japanese ?
Computer games inspired me to learn some basic Japanese years back and I have recently imported a TMGC+C and am now trying to brush up on my Kana reading again...
Ringotchi123 - I think we may be the only ones left in the hatch :(
Oh well. I should move on to the third generation tomorrow so I'll then update with a 'report'. Will hopefully do a graphical family tree showing the growth of each Tama and who they married :)
I think you need to provide a 'form' for people to fill in. That way it will make it clearer what answers you are looking for.
I own the lime green Mametchi Tamago and that is my favourite one too.

My work is mostly technical and full of 'characters' so it would not be a disaster if I was 'found out'.
Saying that though - I rarely check on them...
It's odd isn't it ? People walk around playing games on their phones or texting like crazy - but somehow playing with an electronic toy is seen as childish. Well, a phone is just a more complex electronic toy a lot of the time. The Apple App Store makes millions out of simple throw-away apps...
I've not given up either !
I've just been away on holiday and posting was too expensive with my iphone data rates
MyLovelytchi (Sayumi) is now married to a Kutchipatchi. Sadly their Friendship is down to zero as I have been a bad Tama-Parent due to other commitments...
That's a nice statement Owl - you sound older than your years, but in a good way :)
I too find them a pleasant distraction from the sometimes stressful pressures of adult life B)
Well, I'm pleased - my Shelltchi turned into Lovelytchi ! Cool !
She's 3yr, 42lb, full Hungry & Happy hearts, Training 10, Friendship 4.
She's very cute when she comes up to the screen:
