Well, you could have just not paused him for long enough for him not to age. Say you pause him for 23 hours out of 24 hours in the day. Eventually he'll age because the one hour from each day will add up to 24, and he'll age one year. Get what I'm saying?

They do not have to be the same version.... They can be V4 + V1, etc. They have to be at least 5 years old (unpaused time.), and four hearts. Sometimes it takes a while, even if all of the requirements are met. Just be patient and you'll have a tamagotchi baby in no time! :P
