Well as you go to preschool, school and work you'll unlock those places, but you can only go to them if you're going to them on your Tamagotchi. :D Does that make sense? :)

I chose v4 because that's the only one I have one right now (previously a v1 and v2). If I had a v4.5 I might've chosen that though. :D

You need to wait until he's at least 23 lbs. because you can lose up to 3 lbs. playing a game and if you were to lose 3 lbs. with only 21 lbs. starting then yes, he would be under weight. :)

I'm currently on my first generation of Tamagotchi. If my Tamagotchi gets a partner and has a second generation, will I still have my points, items and souvenirs that I earned during my first generation's Tamagotchi? :)

I agree with you, Tamagotchi93! I was SO sad when she died! I only just finished reading the book today and, well, I'm not going to give the story away but I really just loved the ending. A little cheesy but very happy. ^_^
