Jamie rode her bike down the dirt path, racing her best friend to the river. The wind blowing back her red hair she knew this summer whould be the best summer ever, her new bike, her and Daine.
The river was about a mile from her small town. It was such a big river that every group of friends could have their own little closed off area to come and enjoy or cool off from the summer heat.
Jamie pulled her red bike to a stop, tore off her matching helemt. She looked back and saw Daine coming down the hill. Jamie pulled her top off and tore her pants off to. She jumped in and heard a splash next to her and new Daine had also jumped in.
They spent the day bathing in the sun and swimming in the water. Jamie was sitting on the river bank getting a tan when Daine called her and told her the time, the deiced it was best they dried off and got going.
Jamie was about to pull her helemt on and race Daine back to the town when voices rang out from a ditch close to them. Jamie glanced at Daine and saw she was looking at the ditch to. They crawled to it and saw boys from there school, they were in grade nine and ruled all grades from Kindergarted to grade 7. That ment the grade 6's. Jamie and Daine. They were laughing when one boy who liked to be called Spike, but his real name was Spencer, spoke out.
"Look at this!" He said bending down. "It looks like an egg!"
"Maybe its a bird nest?" Kevan said, his voice was hoarse, it sounded like a cold.
"No, its beeping!" Spike snapped back.
"Whatever, lets just go!" Oliver demanded. Kevan and Spike nodded. They ran up the hill and out of sight. Jamie stood up and ran down the ditch to the beeping...toy?
It was shaped like an egg like Spike had pointed out. It had a strange looking animal on it and was beeping helplessly. It had a skull hovering about its head, and it had poo lined up around it. Jamie saw that in the bottom right had coner a happy and sad face was lit up. There were three yellow bottoums around the bottom and strange icons around it.
"Jam!" Daine called her with her most used nickname. "What is it?" She ran down the hill and looked at it. "Tama...Tama....Tamagotchi?" She said struggling to pronuce it.
Jamie pressed the far right bottom and the icons lit up. She saw one that looked like a toilet. She pressed it. A strange shape that streched across the screen wiped off everything on the screen. When everything came but there was no poo. She saw an icon that looked like a first aid kit. She pressed the bottom so that it reached the kit. She pressed it and the strange animal made a face and then danced when the icon was gone.
"I think you safed it!" She laughed and climed up the hill. "Your a real hero!" She said and left for her bike.
Jamie ran her hands down the egg. "Tamagotchi?" She whispered. She stuffed it in her pocket and ran up the hill.
