I always use Iconator, but most of them flash and I don't like flashy things so I edit them xD

Also, I go to the end pages to find ones that aren't used as much.

I need a new avatar website too, Iconator's getting boring.

I actually use Tinypic and Photobucket. You might be surprised at what you can find. : D
