Nobody seems to know many bands, besides pop and rap bands/singers. Me and my friends listen to rock and pop and rap and stuff, although I am the odd one. Rock is still and will always be my favorite.

Around here, those are considered popular. The only one that isn't so much, is Creed, but people still know who they are.
