Tamagotchis take CR2032 batterys, hope that helped.

They can also take 2025 size batteries, but 2032s last a bit longer. Also, remember connecting drains your battery power, so get long-lasting bateries!
CR2025 aren't the correct thickness. They're too thin.

Here`s a tip...Energizer lasts a LOT longer than rayovac.... *from experience* When i had a rayovac one for my tama it died within...a week...Energizer...2-3 months depending.

now other tamas like the P1 take LR44 @___@

Most Tamagotchi's takeThis kind of Battery.

An easy way to replace your Tamagotchi Battery is to check out a Department store, like Wal-mart.

The front desk is sure to help you figure out what type of Battery your Tamagotchi should take.

I reccomend Energizer, which tends to last longer.

Keep some extra's at home, just in case you need another sometime. :nazotchi:

I've also used a CR2025 in a Tamagotchi before.

I was running four Tamagotchis. While connecting, two reported dead battery at the same time. I had only one spare CR2032 on hand, but I also had a CR2025 as a spare for something else.

I found it was necessary to place a folded piece of paper between the CR2025 and the back cover in order to keep the battery from losing contact. As you mentioned, the CR2025 didn't last very long.
