When you mate two Tamagotchis by connection, the female gives birth to two identical babies. You can consider them twins if you want to. But immediately after the second one is born, it jumps up off the female's screen to go live with the male. Also, they may turn out to be different toddler, teen, and adult characters - depending on how each is raised.
It is not possible to take care of more than one baby at a time on a Tamagotchi toy.
(Don't even think about posting "I saw somewhere on the internet that there's a code you can type in to get two eggs..." because that rumour has been proven time and again to not work.)
