Care misses

I read in several growth charts and manuals about care misses. Usually described as: failing to take care of your Tamagotchi before the attention icon turns off. Before I knew Tamatalk I never knew of growthcharts and that there was even a system by which you could even slightly control what Tamagotchi adult you could get. I thought it was completely random. But what I could not find out is, does missing your Tamagotchi's having to go potty also count as a care miss? It doesn't light up the attention icon.

No, that doesn't count as a care miss. The only things that count as care misses are things that light up the attention icon. Failing to clean up after a Tamagotchi doesn't count. If they get sick BECAUSE you didn't clean it up, however, that DOES count.
