connecting v3 and v2... a glitch?

okay, i have a v2 nikatchi, and i connected it with my new v3 mizutamatchi... but when nikatchi pops on to mizutamatchi's screen, nikatchi is suddenly a nazotchi! and the same thing happens when mizutamatchi visits nikatchi's screen, she's suddenly a nazotchi as well! is this a glitch? my v2 and v3 also have the same name, maybe this is why this is happening?

the reason may be because its a old tamagotchi, and it does not have that new tama uploaded on it, so it has no choice then to change into a different tamagotchi

Nazotchi is a bugfix that keeps the Tamagotchi from displaying garbage when connecting to different versions with different characters. If the Tamagotchi receiving the data does not recognize the character, it displays Nazotchi instead.
