Dead Battery Question

This is in reference to TMGC+C. What I mean to say is this: what happens to my money, acquired items, and my tama when the battery dies? That's quite a fair amount of time and work that I spent earning all of that stuff. I know that other generations have a reset/download option, but this is Japanese and I'm not in Japan. There doesn't really seem to be a way for me to save my progress on a computer.

If I have to start all over, then I guess it's kind of ok... This being said, I have a second question. How long does the battery power last in a TMGC+C?
