"Iceleaf!" Firestripe's desperate yowl echoed around the whole camp. A few moments later, the Healer dashed into Whitestar's den.
"What is it?"
"Rustykit and Starkit!" Whitestar wailed. She frantically licked Rustykit's fur up the wrong way. Firestripe was licking Starkit, whose breathing was slightly steadier.

It was a few days before Iceleaf was able to identify the problem. She woke Whitestar up, who had been sleeping while she took care of Rustykit. Then the Healer darted back to her den.
Iceleaf took a clean maple leaf and chewed up Icemint, then spat it out on the leaf. She squashed Sunberries into it and mixed it with her claw.The Healer shook some poppy seeds onto the mixture and wrappd up the maple leaf in a parcel shape. She picked it up and went back to Whitestar's den.
Firestripe and Whitestar each gave the kits a nudge in the right direction. Upon finding the food, Rustykit and Starkit quickly ate the Icemint-Sunberry mixture. Then they each ate their poppy seed and fell asleep against Whitestar.
"So wht was it?" Firestripe asked.
"Frost's Claws," Iceleaf replied. "After three days, the victim passes on to Sun and Star's paws. sometimes, they-" the Healer was interupted as Rustykit started to take loud, short, shallow breaths.
"Rustykit!"
