Alright, so I have been noticing a lot of people around saying that they don't own a good Anti-Virus program and they get a virus on their computer that they don't know how to remove. So I'm going to help out.
First off, the programs;
Malwarebytes; https://malwarebytes.org/
This program doesn't just rid of Malware, it gets rid of Viruses as well! [Once I ran it on my moms labtop because my brother infected it thanks to Limewire. It picked up like 10 Trojan horses.] And works great!
Spybot - Search & Destroy
https://download.cnet.com/Spybot-Search-amp...4-10122137.html Now I've heard good reviews about this one. Used it myself, it seems to be worth it, and it's free nontheless.
AVG Free
https://free.avg.com/ This one is also alright. Getting alright reviews, though my friend said that it didn't pick up on some viruses he had when he ran with Spybot.
Those are the top three I would recommend.
CCleaner; https://www.ccleaner.com/
This isn't a AntiVirus program, but cleans up your computer. Removing unwanted and unneeded data. Excess info. that isn't needed and takes up space on your hard drive. Great tool.
Now, if you go on a serious forum for a computer problem, chances are they're going to ask you run install and run a program called 'HiJack this' which is a program that runs scans and in the final result gives you a scan log, most likely pointing out the problem so you don't have to scratch your eyes out trying to reformat or something.
Just trying to help.
