Well. A little over a while ago I noticed that my hair fell out. Not just a hair or two, about 30 (or possibly more) hairs per day. I find several of my hairs on the floor, or on the bed. It falls out twice as much when I'm in the shower. And my hair is really dandruffy. Maybe I've got lice too. Heck, I must have used every brand of shampoo in the grocery store by now. + I've tried iron and vitamin e supplements, olive oil, coconut oil, you name it. I know everyone's hair falls out - but this really insane. x.x

I do get stressed out a lot, if that helps.

Lice / dandruff is pretty common too .. maybe some of you have this same problem? Home remedies? Some kind of shampoo?

I'm in a hurry, so please excuse this crappy post. I'll edit laterrr ..

Your stress has nothing to do with it. Have you talked to your mum about this? I'm obviously not an expert, but it sounds like you have alopecia (ala-pay-sha). This is not serious. It's a disease that causes your hair to fall out. There is no cure, but there is treatment. 96% of people who have alopecia only get tiny patches that are bald. The other 4% lose all their hair. My friend has alopeica and she is entirely bald. But don't panic. My hair falls out a lot too and I don't have alopecia. It's highly unliekly that that is what you've got. Talk to your mum, and if you're still worried, ask her to book a doctor's appointment. But juist google 'Alopecia' and read something about it, so you feel more reassured that it isn't serious.

Random thought, I'm not sure if it applies, but it may.

I've noticed that when my hair is "long"(about 5-6 inches long) my hair starts coming out a LOT more than it does when it's short(1-2 inches long).

I also had a friend with very long hair(near her waist) and she "sheds" like a beast.

It could have to do with the length and thickness of your hair. She and I both have really thick hair.

You should ask a doctor about it. It could just be that that's how your hair is.

Here's a little trick for you to use to find out if you're losing too much hair:

Take a small section of your hair.

Grab from the roots, and pull until you reach the bottom. (Not hard that it hurts, just enough to feel the pulling.)

Look at how many hairs are now in your hand. If it's less than 6, then you're okay. More than 6 and that may be a sign of more serious hair loss.

My hair falls out so much in the shower, but it's super thick so it's fine. Is your hair thick, or maybe it's getting longer? Try what GG96 suggested, if you're still worried maybe you could see someone for this.

My hair's short but it falls out quite a bit. It's pretty thick. I dunno, I'm just used to it 0_0

If you're worried about dandruff, my Nana made up this really cool thing :) Warm up some water and put some tea-tree oil in it, and and rosemary, and then after you've shampoo'd your hair, pour it on :) It helped me haha :)

my hair falls out a lot, but i also have super long thick hair, so i guess that's why.

I knew someone who had Alopecia. I don't know if that's what you have, though.

I do shed a lot too, and my hair is pretty thick. At one point, I had an eating disorder, and when I started eating healthy again, a ton of my hair fell out because of the healthy hairs pushing the unhealthy ones out. Maybe something like that is happening.

My hair is really thin and lifeless kindofish.

Not thick at all. >.<

Ooh, and it's just about shoulder length.

I haven't noticed any bald patches or anything like that, so I strongly doubt it's alopecia that I've got.

This started a little over a year ago; I've just not payed much attention to it.

@ GG96 - THANK YOU. The most I got was a four so I think I'm good. c:

And LG - I will try that. :)

So a big thank you goes out to everyone that has posted here - it really made me feel better. [=

I have the same problem. I think that it is just because of the length. I have pretty long hair, and I always find it everywhere. On my clothes, on my jackets, on my hands when I put mouse in my hair. It may be just because my hair is so fine and long.

An average human looses close to 100 hairs a day, so I think I'm fine. It's just really annoying. >.<

My hair is over 4 feet long, and I don't lose ANY!! Please go to the doctor or a dermatologist to see what the problem is. It could be genetic, but maybe not.

^ FOUR FEET LONG?

Anyway, it could be a family thing. If its not, you should go see a doctor or specialist for your hair. Having thick, long hair doesn't necessarily mean it will fall out.

Holy mother .. lD

Thank you all ~

This made me feel heaps better.

It might be a genetic thing, perhaps.

My dad has very little hair; he started losing it years ago and my mom and brother seem to be losing quite a bit of it as well.

It's actually gotten a bit better now, but if it continues I'll see a doctor.

:)

Yeah, sometimes it's a pain. It takes most of the day to dry after washing. I don't use a hair dryer, I just let it dry naturally. It takes close to an hour to comb out. But I love it anyway.
