If you've already got one, there's no reason to get the half-version. If you don't ... why not? Pokemon games are released the same way... two traditional versions and one updated repeat version. If you are interested in the newer version and see that they have made a release pattern out of Tamagotchi, it might be a good idea to hold out until they make the in-between version before you get say, a version 6. Simply because the updated version most of the time has new stuff and is just a bit more of an advancement.... Although if you just gotta have that new V6 nobody will be stopping you, just don't be disappointed when the 6.5 has cooler items and more of a variety of characters if you can already see Bandai's marketing scheme... (I'm using V6 as an example)It's not a bad thing that they are there, but it is a bad thing to think that you need all the different versions. With too many Tamagotchi to take care of it kinda cheapens the effect of having them, you know?
