Yes, this is a new thing for the V4 (the older versions 1-3 didn't do that when you press C button). :furawatchi:

My tamas move up close to the screen and then back again.

well, not necessarily, It happens on all V4 tamagotchis (not debugged ones too).

and also, yes, the tamagotchis don't get a happy point by doing the dance, but they DO get a filled heart for the Tamagotchi Schools
